Bart, <What's wrong with “Asha''?> Nothing, other than the fact that she's REALLY hot! (it's almost 100'F right this minute!)… But that's probably not what you meant… If you're talking about the new naming option that we're about to get here, there's nothing wrong with "Asha"…but you've confused me (or maybe it's the heat)…That IS the name I hope to use instead of these silly numbers….<g> Asha @}–`–,-

I want to use them in Cmail. But I'm not so sure about forums. I'd be terribly upset if we started using those silly handles instead of real names around here! In fact, I'm not sure I could take it at all. —Betty

The kind of handles that are in such wide use on places like some other services – ones in which people never use their real names at all. Handles that carry sexual innuendos, or total nonsense – names of comic characters, etc. They just haven't any place in a forum that has serious business, and I hope CIS never goes to that kind of usage. —Betty

Betty, I helped someone sign up for (whisper) America On-Line this morning, and I was surprised that the program INSISTED on a screen name, "to be friendly". My client wanted to use her initials, but they weren't available, neither was her last name. AOL suggested some absurd combination of her name and some numbers, and we ended up with a contraction of her full name. But she couldn't use her real name at all. And she wanted to. That is exactly what I do NOT want to happen here! I think it is quite friendly here using our real names…..much moreso than under a handle. —Betty

Asha, >> Nothing, other than the fact that she's REALLY hot! (it's almost 100'F right this minute!)…<< Poor thing! >>I sincerely doubt that anyone would/will want the name "asha".<< You wrote this. I just asked why? I see nothing wrong with Asha. On the contrary. But as you wrote, you ARE hot (100 F) phew! that's 32 C. We had that for the last few weeks. It's terrible!
