#Pascal for Amiga

Can anyone advise on a version of Pascal for the Amiga; to run on a 1200
and/or 4000? Either PD or commercial.

Hi there
In Germany the programme "Kick Pascal" which is basically Turbo pascal is
extremly popular. It is published by Maxon Computer. (Tel + 49 6196 418811 I
think). However I am not sure wheher it has benn translated (the manual) into
english. Retail price in germany is around US$ 150

Hisoft do a Pascal compiler called "Highspeed Pascal". I haven't used
it but I have heard it is mostly Turbo Pascal compatible but without
the object oriented stuff. IMHO Hisoft stuff is usually good, and I
expect it will be compatible with WB 3.
I saw a PD Pascal compiler once but I can't remember what it was called.
I'm pretty sure it is on a Fish disc.

I would like to add my vote to Hisoft Pascal. We bought it for a
course my son is taking. He needed a Pascal compiler, and it was the
only commercial one easialy available here. I have since used it for
several short tasks where I needed a quick utility to do something,
or for modeling an idea for development later in a more powerful
language. Only thing it needs as a good debugger. Well, a better
defined GUI libraray would be nice too.
While on the subject of PASCAL, did Metacomco go under? (That's the PASCAL I
used to use many years ago…)

I have heard of them, but that is about all. I know nothing about them.

Haven't seen anything about them for a while, although I used it for
a course too. The AC guide does not list them, amd in fact does not
seem to list ANY Pascal. Would M2 or Oberon do?
I wouldn't know, although I understand M2 is really close to Pascal.
I am currently trying to learn 'C', but until I get a HD, DICE isn't
very friendly on a two floppy system. (At least I haven't been able
ot make it friendly!)
