Hi Robin, Well, I'm glad the expert has waded in! Let's hope this gets fixed. It's really reducing the usefulness of Corel Draw for making slides and figures for publication. Best regards, Martin

Kelly, Some of the JPEG files on the book were compressed using Apple's QuickTime version of JPEG which is not supported by Draw, PPaint, PhotoShop or PhotoStyler. Rus should have a copy of the book any day now and hopefully you can find a way to support this flavor of…

Some of the JPEG files were compressed using Apple's QuickTime version of JPEG which Corel does not support. I am working with the publisher to try and find a way to distribute something which will convert the files. Glad you like it. Foster.

Andy, If straight PCL is all you need, you ought to be able to connect a PCL driver to FILE: and print to disk, right? You'd have to do some editing to the file afterwards, though. Steve

Robert, download EPSFIX.COM from the library here. It contains a replacement EXPEPS.DLL file that fixes the problem in the image header. This is fixed in the "B" revision of Corel Draw 4. JC

Robert, Corel 4A5 is loaded with bugs. Follow Ed's instructions to get a new version. Until then it *should* work if you export with no header although I wouldn't trust it for paying work. Foster.

Ed, My problem is that I can't remember how I converted the bitmap into usable characters to export. I didn't trace the bitmap…as I recall I just scanned, imported it (all hand printed characters), and then was able to export each one. How would you go about this?
From: Edward L. Waldorph Corel Forum · Import / Export November 12, 1993 2:30 PM
John: If you have the latest updates to Ver 4.0, then it should work the same as Ver 3. Make sure that each exported character (whether that is a single letter or complete word) is combined into a single path. -Ed
