Yeah, you're right. AmigaDos (rightly) won't let you give the name of an existing dsirectory to a drawer, since apart from the icon, they are functionally the same thing. That's also the beauty of AmigaDos, though: that you can do a lot of things via the Workbench OR the shell.…

Len, What are the name of these files exactly? If they are compression/decomp. files they are probably self extracting. You can usually tell by the file suffix.
