Download the file CDFAQ.TXT it has some info on CD-I and CD-XA.
Download the files CDFAQ.TXT and CDROMF.ZIP. The latter includes a comparision chart of drives vs the features that a particular drive offers.
A SCSI CD-ROM drive sounds like what you are looking for. A Toshiba 3401 is one of the fastest drives around. Also download the file CDROMF.ZIP which has a comparision chart of the different drives vs features.
The CD-ROM vendors forums is (GO CDVEN). To get into a conference room just select conference option and then another list appears and then choose room #2.

There is a file called KODAK.TXT in the library which tells what drives are Photo CD compatible.
There is a cyrix rep in the (GO IBMHW) forum too. Did you check that memory for your scsi controller is not mapped by any other device? DO you have the most current drivers for your drive and controller?

Rich, If you want the text of the article its not there but the source code is. Try library #0 (Dr Dobbs magazine listings). Then they have listings by article and issue. If you search all libraries with the keyword CD-ROM you will find it.
There is a Procom rep in the (GO IBMHW) forum on a regular basis too.

Rich, Did you know that July 1993 issue of Dr. Dobbs Journal has an article on the Rock Ridge extensions to ISO-9660. Source code is available in the (GO DDJFOR) on Compuserve.
In one of the Apple developer mags. They (Apple) has a suggestion on how to store MAC specific information under ISO-9660. Basically they just set up a special section in the system use fields.
Its probably best to contact Hitachi directly and see what that can provide. (^they)

Try the (GO IBMHW) forum. They have many SCSI experts on-line with several suggestions to help you find a cable for your host adapter.
You might check the (GO IBMHW) forum. Several scsi controller reps are present in that forum. Ultrastor, Pro-comm, and others. Also Trantor systems makes a few and they are available in the (GO CDVEN) forum.
Kodak access software does conversions from PCD to TIFF and probably GIF as well.
I didn't know it was that simple. I didn't think the PC and the MAC would like each other on the same bus. What SCSI card are you using on the PC side and what CD-ROM drive are you using?

SoftC/Greenleaf (GO PCVENB) also supports Foxpro databases and CDX indexes. Its very similar to Codebase.

You might consider the UltraStor 14F scsi-2 controller. UltraStor reps frequent the (GO IBMHW) if you want to know specifics. Its has an ASPI driver, works with most of the popular operating systems including OS/2, Novell netware and UNIX, bus-mastering, scsi-2.
