What do current owners need to do to get updated to 3.0? – via Whap!
Thanks for the pat on the back. I bought the 500C when my DJ+ died and just had to be able to use the color capability. I started with the HP LaserJet driver from the examples in the RKM. When HP finally gets the technical manual out, I'll modify the…
#HP DeskJet 500 C driver
Message #41429
It appears that you can patch the HP_PaintJet driver which to output to the HP_DeskJet_500C. The driver sorta works as is but since it thinks it's a 180 dpi printer, it only prints on the left 2/3 of the paper. Patching the driver to indicate that it is a 300…
How does a person who purchasec 2.1 receive the 2.1b update file? – via Whap!
Nope. You need to pull the tray with the disks and power supply to get access to the jumper. Kind of a pain, but could be your problem.
Is jumper J300 on the motherboard in the proper position. I discovered that mine was not. It caused the 2320 not to de-interlace properly. Step 7 under trouble shooting, page 18.
Don, Yes indeed I did. I spoke to them and they were the only dealer of any I tried who even knew what I was talking about. Sadly, they did not have an idea of when the 2320 might show up. Bob
#A2320 Availability
Message #5008
Does anyone know where an A2320 can be purchased. I've contacted the dealers in the Denver/Boulder area in Colorado and none of them has one or have any idea when they are due.
Steve, I'll probably be checking around locally (Boulder/Denver) to see what the price is in this area. Thanks again for the info. Bob

Rev 3.9 & 1Meg Agnus
Message #77730
Thanks for the info. Guess I'll have to save my pennies. Bob
I too have a desk jet and found that if you need a really quick fix for the jaggies in the fonts, try making the page about twice as large as what you need (use 11 x 17 for an 8 1/2 x 11 page) and then use the Pixel…
The question is why does clearing the screen zero part of the array contents? I've a work-around but it bothers me that I can't explain the problem. As to forcing rev 29, I just hadn't updated the rev number in this test. (I have been using an old boiler plate…

PowerWindows will save you so much time and frustration it is well worth the price. Operating in the adjust and try it mode is a great way to miss a deadline. Bob
Ok Larry, I'll reformat the program and try again. It never occured to me to watch for the / at the beginning of the line.
#Screen Clearing
Message #105139
Here a bit of a weird problem. I'opened an Intuition screen and tried to clear it. The problem is that in addition to blanking the screen, the ClearScreen also zeros part of an array. I've been beating on this problem for 3 days now and I'm sure it must be…

Just uploaded a file containing the singing dogs doing Jingle Bells. Don't blame me, my wife did it. I'm just spreading it around. Bob
I've gotten the bridgecard audio out by connecting J2 to the audio input on my 2002 monitor. One side of the jack is grounded to watch the polarity of the cable. Perhaps there is not sufficient output drive for the speaker you are using. Bob Shimbo
I forgive you, though I suspect you have been beating up on CBM and yourselves over this. Is there anyway I could get an updated copy of BT when they become available. (Disk exchange or whatever). Bob PS It really is a great game.
#Bard's Tale GURU
Message #52479
We were just playing Bard's Tale and got the dreaded Software Error message and subsequent GURU number (00000003.00203798). We had just killed all the statues around the castle and were going east on Blue Highway. Our Amiga is a 512k with 2 drives and a 2Mb Starboard II. It's a…
(Fara Shimbo replying, actually…) For goof's sake, don't be embarrassed! As Allan Sherman once said, no one's perfect. DMCS is, so far as I'm concerned, the best thing that's happened to the Amiga yet; I've spent countless hours playing with it when I *should* have been working on paying my…
As far as I know, I'm the only one around. Your are right, the game should take only a few seconds to set up the universe. It does need at least a 512k amiga though. If you've gotten a defective copy, call Intersel (their number is in the rule book)…

You can enter notes from a midi keyboard (not in real time though) and if you hold the key down longer, it will lengthen the note. Got my ]copy for 89.95 in Denver.

I've been porting a game to the amiga and only one thing remains. The music playback software for the game needs to be faster than the a simple approach allows to preserve the timing. Thus far I have been unable to make the double buffered sound example in the RKM…
