Robb, I tried your suggestion. After a period of about a day, reading prefs showed the clock was about 20 minutes slow. Issuing a SETCLOCK LOAD set the clock back on track. I was under the impression that the PREFS time showed what the hardware clock was reading. You were…

#124500 VLab Y/C avail? Message #124524
From: John Wulff Amiga User Forum · Amiga Hardware December 9, 1993 5:24 PM
I asked the guy what time tech support hours started and he said, "…uh…now!" I heard a young child in the background so this might be a home brew business. Anyway, my problem was a software switch instead of a glitch. Glad to be able to help you.

From: John Wulff Amiga Tech Forum · Forum Business/Help December 2, 1993 10:17 PM
Vector checking is outside of the scope of how I was programing. I was trying to do everything from an ADOS script. All I needed to know was if there was a brownout, cold boot from a power failure, or a warm boot caused remotely by me. -John- via AutoPilot
#38022 Hard Drive Help Message #38029
From: John Wulff Amiga Tech Forum · Forum Business/Help December 2, 1993 7:11 AM
Well…that makes just as much sense. I am doing a similar thing by looking for a small 1 byte flag in ram:. Never thought about putting the flag in RAD:. The code for the ram:flag was always there so I didn't change it, just "booleaned" another test.

From: John Wulff Amiga Tech Forum · Forum Business/Help December 1, 1993 11:04 AM
That's good to know. I don't wish it to automount, though. I am using its existence as a flag for a program to recognize a reboot from a software cue versus a reboot after a power off condition. Thanks for the tip.

From: John Wulff Amiga Tech Forum · Forum Business/Help November 30, 1993 6:50 AM
Bob, Thanks, I found the Bootpri tooltype in the manual. Using -129 makes the RAD nonbootable. What was throwing me initially was that the tool didn't need to be in the Devices drawer. Just living in Storage was enough to cause trouble. -John- via AutoPilot

From: John Wulff Amiga User Forum · Communications July 26, 1993 6:16 AM
Bob, You might be wise to pass on this one. As the author states, he only writes these things because "people ask him to". The author boo-booed and left an inaccurate tag in the code. For example if you rename the files to XPRZMODEM68020.LIBRARY, XPRZMODEM68030.LIBRARY, etc., the library will be…
