Martin, Sorry it took me so long to get back to you, I've been sick for the past few days. Yes, we do use compression on Computer Select in order to get all that information on the disc. Currently the data is compressed, but the indexes are not. Frank

Graham, MSCDEX 2.21 is in the Microsoft Software Library — just pick the software library from the Microsoft menu. I think the file name is CDEXT.EXE, but if not, just BROWSE and do a search on MSCDEX. Frank

If the drive is a SCSI, it may work with Trantor's Mini-SCSI connector. The Mini-SCSI will allow you to plug it into your parallel port. Call Trantor at 415-770-1400. Hope this helps. Frank
That's weird — I would think that it should atleast have some switches to set the drive ID. How do you set drive ID when you daisychain drives? Frank

Alan, The reason IBM only supports Toshiba drives is probably because the IBM drive is manufactured by Toshiba. You can purchase OS/2 drivers for Hitachi drive from MicroDesign International. Frank
