#Kickin' the new HD

I just added another IDE HD to my 4000/040. Had to rreplace the original. Now when I cold boot it wants Kickstart???? If I warm boot then, it comes up… no probs. Anyone know what's up? TIA Zeddock Miller

You might try Emailing John Chang or Chris Darsch. Chris is the creator of PhonePak and John is a regular here who works with Chris. Have you tried just starting the fax? Also check the remote commands. Dosn't star or something start a FAX? Goodluck, Zeddock Miller

Most right! I have had no trouble with the Azden – Two unit wireless. But I work in the hills where little interference is typical. If you are in the city don't do the *inexpensive* Azdens. Zeddock Miller

Sounds like you do not have PC0: mounted. Try looking in your storage drawer on Workbench, in the devs drwer. Double click on PC0: Zeddock Miller

I wouldn't be suprised if something couldn't be worked out for that, but it would take a lot. The edit desk with the TC is 0 frame accurate, but control issues would be hell. Zeddock Miller
If you are just starting out, and don't want to buy alot at the start, I would suggest a Panasonic AG-450 in SVHS or A1-digital from canon for the Hi8 side. These would cost almost half as you will only find them refurbed or used. They are both decent cameras…

Yes, I am testing the Silent Answer feature now, and it seems to work. Though I am plagued with a short-dual ident-a-ring, recognition problem. Zeddock Miller
There is a silent answer availible. I have not used it but the docs say it has a new feature for watching between FAX and DATA. Zeddock Miller
