We've just loaded the upgrade and it's a decided improvement performance-wise BUT…if you're loading in a TGA stream of any significant length (10 seconds or more) Windows is gonna make you wait. It's still like watching paint dry, only a bit faster now. (Don't drink coffee unless you lace it…
Somehow my CIS address indicated above is incorrect. Use 74036,3117 Thanks

I have a client who requires a jointed male figure for a forensic animation. Since he's new to 3D Studio (although very fluent w/3D animation) we're looking for something rather easy to manipulate and 'walk'. Clothed and unclothed versions desired. Also – does anyone know of any service bureau's with…

We've been running LenzFX v1.3 over a Novell 3.12 network (dedicated server) with only minor hitch's except: we have some dummy 3DS slave systems (motherboards w/ram but no hard drive) that don't seem to like LenzFX and report a missing key at the end of the log file. We're working…
LenzFX sometimes looks 'boxy', it seems that the objects bounding box becomes visible. I haven't seen your image… if you could perhaps provide more detail.

Looking for a Panasonic AG-7650 or AG-7750 SVHS deck in good condition need TBC and TC Reader on the 7650. Otherwise we've got a primo condition AG-7750 for sale if we can't find it a suitable companion for an A/B Roll setup. Shaun or Frank (810) 488-0588 or EMAIL
I'm late on this one. As a dealer who actually dare's to delve into such things… I think your efforts towards LenzFX are tremendous. This is the most killer, cool IPAS routine yet. We're rendering wow grade stuff for demo's with it for an upcoming user group meeting. On behalf…
We stock (and sell) both units. Perhaps you should do as we, buy one of each and find out for yourself. Alas, such are the woes of the 'mail-order' shopper. Hint: You get what you pay for.

Greetings I'm with AeroData. We're a VAR located in Michigan, near Detroit/Ann Arbor. We're PC/MAC dealers representing products like 3D Studio, TOPAS, Matrox, Matrox Animation Express (MAX), DPS PAR, Razor Pro, Inscriber, Diaquest, FAST and so on. Aside from the professional aspect, my avocation is graphics and animation, computer and…
We offer network rendering services to clients using up to eight (8) Pentiums, 60,66, & 90's (and DX2's) – and have not encountered any problems attributable to 'math' errors. Over just the last year, this adds up to thousands and thousands of renderings. Some jobs are 5,000 to 9,000 frames…
That was worth quoting (and) really funny… Didn't Frank Zappa write a song about 'poodles' or something ? Bravo
Sherwood: Which BIOS revision are you running on your Intel 90Mhz boards ?
We're dealers (and users) of Truevision & Matrox, PAR & MAX (We've had MAX in-house & used it, it's CERTAINLY SUPERIOR in image quality to PAR…which is pretty good, by the way). The Illuminator PRO has it hands down over the AT-VISTA (which I still use). There's no developer kit…
Try calling PANACEA for their PANAMATE driver
I recall some bridges on some older Autodesk CD's, perhaps R2's WCToolkit, include suspension types. Maybe they can be altered to look like your bridge. Also…the new 'optimize' IPAS routine would probably do a fair job of reducing the geometry count on the Statue, doesn't reduce the price though.
Yes, we should have a meeting in July showing all the latest IPAS routines including many of the Schreiber routines. I'll be at SIGGRAPH, yes. See you sometime in July
We have the new Schreiber CD-ROM which includes tons of new IPAS routine demo's…just call and get the unlock code if you need a particular routine. FZ/acs

Metro Software publishes a product called Laser Twin which provides HP Laserjet Series II emulation. I haven't used the product in quite a while but I know that version 4.10 (which is probably quite outdated now) did specifically support the LPB4. The last address I have for Metro is: 1870…

I'm accustomed to our Panasonic AG7750, a relatively rugged machine compared to the consumer lot. The Sanyo looks a bit consumer-ish but seems to be bulletproof so far. We've been rendering almost non-stop for about 4 days so far. It has some features I wish the AG7750 has, such as…

If anyone's interested in playing with the new Sanyo GVR-S950 video deck… we're running it with 3D Studio R3. (This is the S-VHS deck with SMPTE time code reader/gen & a BCD single frame animation controller built in with a MSRP of $2995.) Parties interested in details contact me via…

We just received our dealer copy of AutoVision. We're confused. Are we supposed to push 3DS to AutoCad users or AutoVision ? Unless we're missing something it seems to us that this (product) is going to take some wind out of 3D Studio's sails, at least as far as the…
RE: AT VISTA ADI driver. Is the new R3 driver available for download anywhere, or should we call Truevision ? Thanks
We may have some customers interested in your VTR. I'll post notice with the local user group as well. There's a function on the AG7750 which reports total hours (use). I don't recall the command sequence off hand. If you could let us know, it would help. Also… I assume…

John obviously has absolute first dibs on the Sony deck. If for some reason he chooses to pass, we're interested (not bidding, just interested).
#Where do I get 3d Studio

I'm not sure where you're located but there's probably a dealer near you. Autodesk will give you the number of Authorized Autodesk Multimedia dealers in the U.S. and Canada by calling 1-800-525-2763. Another excellent bet is to try one of the Group Montage dealers (Group Montage is a 3DStudio dealler…

#3D Studio R2 LOCKED?
Message #11123
We're using a Mylex 486/33 EISA machine w/3DS r2 and the protection key without a problem. The only thing we've noticed with the Mylex are frequent Phar Lap type errors. Perhaps this isn't the fault of the Mylex machine.
