Update since last message… It seems all scene renderings through the animation type clip save plugin are failing. Even some small scene files that are stock supplied. I switched back to saving to RGB images for tonight. Does iff2clip arrex still work? I'm wondering if the problem is that today…

I upgraded yesterday, and KNOCK KNOCK, everythings working fine. I was even able to backup and restore a small test project on my Conner DAT drive, and backed up a larger project over 2 tapes. Am very happy, except that LW4.0 seems to have slowed a bit and is crashing…

Now a new prob. , although I think I saw someone else report this. After loading 4.06 yesterday, I continued an animation set up under 4.05. I loaded the save.clip plug-in, and the anim ran all night until I ended it today. Did some other project editing, and then tried…

Chuck, I reposted this to you, since I sent it to myself last time. I updated to 4.06. Notice I changed the subject thread. Current project played fine. I backed up a very small test project. Just 2 framestores and some audio. The Conner Drive RESPONDED! I deleted the test…

>>What I would actually recommend is to make the clip content of each drive into a project, and back up that project.

Chuck, I've received 4.06. But I'm near the end of a project that I really want to save. I'm afraid to update because of all the horror stories I'm reading around here. Everything but backup is working real well for me on 4.o5. I am considering updating, however I would…

Sorry to hear those troubles. My biggest prob right now is I need to back this project up, but the new backup program my dealer sent would not work either. And I haven't seen any promising reports about backups working better with 4.06. Even though NT said it worked with…

Chuck, I thought our bug discussion was referring to stuttering drive performance in HQ. I'm pretty satisfied with the quality/capacity trade-off at standard mode. I had been responding to a question on my Microp NON-AV HD performance in standard mode and simply responded that I too would like to see…

"I hope NT can get out the bugs for -both- modes.." Me too! I plan on using HQ5 also, on short projects or when I get a terobyte drive. Greg

Sorry so long in reply, have been out. My microp 1991 works very well usually. As others have said, it begins to studder at about 5 min left in capacity. I have it mounted in an oven. At first it would get so hot, I couldn't touch it. I opened…

Sam, I have a NON-AV Microp 1991, but I would advise you that they are selling for a bit less than the 1991 AV's. You ougta get some cash back too! Greg

I was going to blame the high level of UFO activity near Roswell, but alas, my 1080 in in the local repair shop for the same thing right now. Good luck. Greg Welch

Where can I find Superviewsupport.library mentioned as a requirement for Image Engineer? I can't locate it thru Amiga FF. Thanks, Greg Welch

Fred, It just seems so simple… If you can pull a single frame from a clip to make a flyer still, you certainly can pull a series of frames in reverse order and append to a flyer clip. Greg

Fred, I would think there's a better way than thru Hollyweird FX. I tried to alter the Flyer Clip Copy arrex script, but since it was my first try at rexxing anything it didn't work. But couldn't you just program it to copy the frames from the last frame backwards…

Ed, I experienced posterized clip playback for a while. I repeatedly re-auto hued and re-calibrated until calibration would go thru without asking all the anoying questions. Haven't seen it since. Greg Welch
