IntroCad+ Print Bug??
Message #59993
Has anybody using IntroCad 1.07 found a bug when printing to either an HP-LaserJet or DeskJet printer. The Older IntroCad used THE IDENTICAL printer driver files WITHOUT ANY problems. The Newer IntroCad+ (V 1.07) does not work properly. It seems to skip and mis-allign the graphic printout. Any help would…
AEHD High-density drive!
Message #41814
I called the tech support line of Applied Engineering in the hopes of resolving the problem with their High-density drive and the new 2.04 ROMS. Here is what they said. Currently, their engineering dept. has dropped ALL Amiga support. Only if enough users write to the engineering dept. concerning the…
Thanks Larry! I'll type it in and give it a try.
Thanks Larry. Have you tried HDINFO? I'm curious if anyone has gotten it to work as advertised. Bob…
No I haven't tried using the WriteCh() function, but that looks like the easiest way to go. I was looking for a quick & dirty solution, like a simple option in the 'Say' command like 'Say/n' or something like that.
ARexx Hdinfo.lzh?
Message #16264
Ok, I downloaded the HDINFO.lzh script and guess what? I doesn't work! Seems that the only info it shows is for dh0:. After playing with it for untold hours, I came close. Here is my problem: is there any way to suppress the newline generated by the 'say' command?? The…

#AEHD drive & 2.04 ???
Message #38363
Has anyone had success getting the Applied Engineering High Density Drive to work under 2.04?? I am the proud owner of the new ROMS and it doesn't work!! I read about the problem and was wondering if anyone has solved it yet.
#SAS 1.0 to 1.0A??
Message #15727
Does anyone have the SAS patch for 5.10 to 5.10A? The readme file on the 5.10a to 5.10b patch states that there is one, but I,m not a member of that other bbs named in the file. Help is always appreciated.
Thanks Steve. Now I hope they can get the Kronos autoboot ROMs for me!
I know I'm a glutton for punishment, Don, but the cable is round and not a ribbon. I just may get the crimp on connectors and some ribbon and go that route. I can't explain why it won't drive the 10 foot length, but I have two cables, one of…
CLtd help??
Message #94683
Please put up the address for the shop that is handling the now defunct CLtd inventory. I saw the message up a couple of weeks ago and didn't jot it down. Thanks, Bob.
Thanks Don. I don't have the terminators installed on the internal drive, so I guess I'm ok. The 2091 does have them on it. I tried the 10 foot cable again and it doesn't work. I even put a meter on the conductors to make sure no wires were broken,…
Thanks Don. I finally got everything working. Seems that the buss driver current on the 2091 can't drive a 10 foot extension cable, even though SCSI standards call for up to 9 meters! Seagates tech help said that because the internal drive is possibly on a separate buss that I…
Ok Steve, that's the info I was looking for. I had already figured them out though I wanted to be sure. With jumper 1 set, my internal Seagate was all 7 lun's!!! I now am able to get the system to boot with both drives connected. Here's one of the…
Hmmm… My 2091 is LUN 0 and the drive is SCSI address 0. What does the manual say about the three option jumpers on the board? My external drive jumper is set for address 1 and I removed the jumper on my internal drive. The system still forces both addresses…
Steve, sounds like you are right and I have already lined up a buyer for my package. The OMTI 3527 board is the one you are talking about. I can get one from Comp-u-save in New York for about $150, but I'm going another route by buying new drives. Now…
Cathy, the board takes 256 x 4 chips. I'm not sure what speed, but I would use 100 nanosecond chips.
2091 HELP
Message #92862
Help! I just replaced my CLtd Kronos board with the new 2091. Worked just fine with my Seagate ST157N, but ran into problems with my external drive. It is an Okidata 540 with an Adaptec 4070 SCSI-RLL board. The drive formatted and verified fine, but when I went to format…
Rick. Stupid of me! Thanks, Bob.
Boy Greg, talk about reading into something that you want to read! How stupid of me! Thanks. Now all you have to do is talk the CIS people into publishing a terminal program similar to the ones available for the IBM, 8-bit Atari, and others. I am having trouble using…
#Access! ??
Message #97662
I keep reading the bulletin about the new version of Access! with Kermit and Compuserve B, but I still don't see it? Can you tell me where it is? The latest version I have is 27, and I don't see any of the features mentioned in the bulletin. Bob
Anne, I would love to have you E-Mail the codes to me. In fact, you could probably type a text file with the codes and upload them to the AmigaForem for anyone else who has the SG-10. How did you get the carriage return to work? Thanks, Bob.
I believe I did turn the power to the printer off after changing the dip switch, Don, but even still, I want to be able to switch between Scribble! and Word Perfect without having to throw any switches. Maybe someone else out there has solved the problem, or maybe I'm…
#Word Perfect help?
Message #91537
I am having a problem setting up a printer driver for Word Perfect on my Star SG-10. I want to use Star mode and not IBM mode, so that I can use the printer with Scribble! as well. I have followed the directions at least 20 times, but in Star…
Thanks for the reply. I have a feeling that the problem is embedded in the source code. They're not setting up for the current dir but are assuming everyone is using floppies. Hope they're reading this. I left a message on their bbs. Maybe in PopCLI IV?
#Popcli III
Message #89041
Does anyone know how to get PopCLI III to default to the current directory? I amexecuting it in my startup off a hard drive, and whenever I pop a new CLI, the default dir is df0:! I even tried executing it after boot up from the hard drive and it…
AM-22
Message #79562
I seem to be having some problems with my hard drive. I am hoping you can help me. I backed up all the data with the intent of doing a low level format. The first time I ran the SCSI format, I had to bump the cylinders down to 647…
#ARC challenge!
Message #43917
Alas, I sold my 8-bit stuff to get my ST. Otherwise, ACTION would have been my next move. I'm going to buy the latest version of Lattice and get cranking. You don't happen to know the latest version number do you? Bob
#ARC challenge!
Message #43916
That's what I like to hear, Larry. If it picks up like the 64 did, then we'll see tons of products. Please use Bob, not Robert. Regards, Bob
I assume by using setmap USA0 in your startup, that your problems were solved? Micro Systems tells me that as soon as they finish updating Analyze!, that OnLine! is next. -Bob
Now if only the third party support picks up, then nobody will be able to ignore it. I am tired of ported over programs or the same releases for the Amiga and the ST. Can't wait to see some uniqueness. Once the machine and it's users become one, we should…
Thanks for the advice, Don. I don't need to spend all that money for Aztec if I am just learning. Besides, compared to the 8-bit Atari, I feel like I am light years away from learning the complexities of this beast. Since I will be only a cottage programmer, I…

#ARC challenge!
Message #43035
Larry, as a former 8-bit Atari person, it didn't take me long to see the advantages of Jay's chips. I only bought the ST as a safety valve in case CBM went down the tubes. Thanks for the reply, Bob

#ARC challenge!
Message #43034
I agree with you, Don, I much prefer a CLI environment also. I just thought some of the more inexperienced users may benefit from a WB oriented ARC driver. I myself have a long way to go in learning this system. I still have to learn C, as well as…
OnLine! and 1.2
Message #41764
I am fortunate enough to have been one of the first purchasers of the new A5210 Amiga Enhancer Software; ie: Version 1.2. For those of you who use OnLine! with this version, you will discover that the VT emulation modes don't work properly because the keyboard map is different. Use…

Thanks Steve. As long as I'm sending you this message, I would like to ask a favor of you. As an owner of a 130XE also, I have yet to receive any word from Batteries Included concerning the Paperclip 130 update. I sent in my registration form the same day…
