John, Actually it wasn't our claim. A number of users have reported that drives that started showing bad blocks would respond to a very deep level of the Gov't Erase. I'm not conviced that a low level format shouldn't do the same thing. The govt erase writes alternating data paterns…

#140749 Terminus – SWREG Message #140891
Dale, That was the impression that I got as well. I can think of at least one recent public instance where the lack of a 1099 caused public grief down the road, but that discussion doesn't really fit this forum. Even though my original message was facetious the fact is…

#140663 #Terminus – SWREG Message #140728
Steve, I'm confused here. Doesn't everyone just list additional income that was not covered on a 1099 with the rest of their income? Getting a 1099 just makes life a little easier 🙂 Randy Brooks
Brian, Check the wire lead that connects the LED to the motherboard and make sure that is secure. I have also had one machine that had a cold solder joint on one of the LED connections that came free after several cycles of opening up the machine to add cards.…

#75927 #QB problem Message #75983
Dan, Give me a rundown of your setup again. My test ran right past the ~79MB point on the compare. I'll leave it going the rest of the day (I'm backing up across a doubletalk network) but once it starts reading the tenth track you can be pretty sure that…
#75843 #QB problem Message #75878
Dan, Did you try the restore a second time? You may have a problem with termination or bus noise that is causing the problem. I just finished comparing 15 sessions spanning two tapes using equipment very much like yours without a problem. I'll backup my 300MB partition next and let…
#75844 #QB problem Message #75877
Dan, I just finished my first test situation that I had hoped would duplicate your conditions and had no problems (I filled a 6150 and a 6250) I am afraid that my next test will require backing up a volume that is on slow network so I won't know more…

Dan, Are you using any tapes that were ever used on Unix systems without being bulk erased. The A3070 has a strange rom "Feature" that can cause tapes to be read in a different format than they are written. It manifests itself with a failure to recognise data past ~79M.…

Check out the contents of Library 10 here in AmigaUser for third party drivers for a specific printer. When downloading printer drivers check the age of the driver with newer drivers generally being preferable. Randy Brooks New Horizons Software, Inc.
If you are printing in the Normal or High Quality mode you would want to turn "Aspect Adjusted" off in Page Setup and choose a print density of 180×180. If you are printing in Draft or NLQ you need to turn "Aspect Adjusted" on. Randy Brooks New Horizons Software, Inc.
You can use the EpsonQ driver provided with Workbench to drive that printer. You also might want to check out some of the drivers in the libraries here on Compuserve which access the full 360X360 potential of that printer. Randy Brooks New Horizons Software, Inc.

In addition to the answer that Gerald just gave you 4000 owners with Commodore SCSI controllers need to be aware that scsi.device is controlling the IDE bus and the 2091 or 4091 controller have a device name of 2nd.scsi.device. If you have any scsi drives with a RDB mounted on…
