I understand Commodore was bought by a large German firm and that they will resume production on 4000s. Said to introduce one with a 68060 processor. Company owns hundreds of computer stores in Europe. Haven't heard about USA distribution.

Tell me more, tell me more, about field/frame buffers. i remember when the AVE5 came out, Panasonic was mum but other proponents said it had built in TBCs. mu understanding is that they have a synchronizer that digitally stores a full frame and spits it out. would that be a…
Your perspective is good; Videomaker always wants sidebars. So you don't have to wait 2+ months, TBCs get rid of jagged edges in images in your videos. whenever you copy or edit a tape, the jiggling of the floppy tape inside the cassette translates to uneven edges in images. full…

I'm researching an article on audio tape recorders for video production. Anybody know of files, articles available, etc. Looking for equipment and applications of DAT, minidisc, DCC, multitrack cassette, etc. I'll touch briefly on DAW, but that's not the focus of the article. Thanks Stu Sweetow

I thought that was you. I have your catalog and have considered getting the whole Video File package, but would like to see a sample or two. I suggested an article to a couple of mag editors about video as a business and including info about folks like you who…
yes, i read "camcorner" love it! will look up that issue. how come "Video" doesn't have more production oriented articles?
we shoot just about anything we get hired to do, mostly corporate training and education for non-profits. rates start at $15/hr for SVHS suite with amiga, Our Toaster suite is $25/hr Hi8-3/4sp (or 3/4-3/4SP) and we just got a UVW1800 so that is $40/hr. is that cheap or what!
thanks for your input and suggestions. we are wraping up our evaluation and i will post my findings here. unfortunately we also have to wrap the unit up and return it to pinnacle.

I am evaluating the Pinnacle Alladin for Video Pro. Anyone had experience on it? Even experience with other Pinnacle DVE's would be helpful. Thanks!
I would also be interested in audio recorders for video in the field, especially DAT, or even Mini-disc or DCC. Not that I'm doing research for an article for Videomaker. oh no!

Video Pro is a new magazine published by Video magazine. Interestingly, their editor has a computer background so is trying to cover computer based video editors and video effects and graphics on cards. But the mag. is dedicated to video production. What do you do?
