#29322 Date Stamp Problem Message #29349
From: Bill Rogers AmigaTech · Telecommunications January 7, 1989 7:35 PM
Thanks Don, It appears that the New Year has brought out the worst in several pieces of software. I've installed the New RTClock and will await the update to "Diskmaster". I really like the program and hope they fix it RSN! BR — Canton, Ohio

From: Bill Rogers AmigaTech · Telecommunications January 7, 1989 10:11 AM
Don, Thanks! I'll get it today. I'm a little confused I guess because I thought the problem was isolated to "Diskmaster" since it is occuring on Ami 1000, 500 and 2000 as well. I'll still get the RTClock program and see if that does the trick for me. BR –…

Eli, For what it's worth, I'm having the same problem on my AMI 1000 with 1 Meg Insider Board and clock. I'm also "viewing" the files via Diskmaster. My problem seems to have begun right after New Year. BR — Canton, Ohio

Since the New Year, every file I download is date-stamped Dec 99,9999. I have an Amiga 1000 with the Insider Board and clock. Any ideas as to what went wrong and HOW I might fix the problem? My communications program is WHAP but didn't think that it was involved. BR…

Chris, I didn't find an easy way to kill the RATS but managed. Both of my backrow people are carrying bows. The crossbowman is equipted with 3 slayers and 2 arrows the other has 5 arrows. Fire bombs are also quite effective IF you have any. I'm trying my best…

Paul, I have explored all the areas that I can get to on 9 and even have found a way down to 10 but there are several areas that I can not get to. There is a place with a gate that has a pit behind it open and closed…

Chris, Back on 6 , you might try sending something through the force field where you can't go yourself. Different folks have used different techniques but I just shot an arrow. When the arrow landed on the pressure plate I could "hear" the door open. I then went aroung and…

Chris, There are ONLY 4 riddles total. You can open the door with 3 and the 4th gives you the "bonus". As a "hint" let me say that YOU can't stand on that pressure plate and get through the secret door. You must have someone or something else stand there!…

Chris, First those "trees" are food and food is always nice. You might remember that room cause you may get hungry later and something "magic" happens when you leave that room and return. The secret passage your talking about can only be opened from below. You will have to find…

Maybe some advise from another amateur will help. Take ARC.EXE and rename it to ARC. Copy ARC into your C directory. Then if your real lazy like me you can use one of the Directory Utilities that allows you to select an ARCed file with your mouse and then select…

Thanks Betty. Glad to see you've been made a SYSOP here. I'm one over on FISHNET . Marlene Zenker drops by on occasion. I've owned my Amiga since Chrismas of 1985 but just discovering how to make it play my songs. I think the split Forum approach will make asking…

I've noted a couple of "flakies" myself. Using the "-" key from the key pad will erase the whole line.

While attempting to "get messages" from all my forums this afternoon, WHAP hung because AMIGAARTS was "unavailable". I was fixing lunch while my AMI was working and I know that it was still setting idle after about 20 minutes. This might be an unusual occurance but I thought I'd mention…
