Thanks for the advice, and actually encouraging words. I do, in fact, have a friend with a C-LTD and A1000. I will see what happens. It does make sense that the EA program did bad things to my hard disk, and needs to be low-level formatted.

Can anyone recommend a hard disk cache program? I have heard of Blitzdisk which apparently comes on FastFonts disk by MicroSmiths, but FastFonI am unable to order one since it has apparently been discontinued.
