Tom, you'll have to get a proper P6 driver. I'm guessing that you're using one of the generalized Epson drivers,^C eb-88 10:09:38

My product manager, Gary Yost, should be back in the next day or so. He has been on vacation. His user ID here is 76703,1077, so you can contact him directly and discuss it with him. This may be the best course of action. I'm not into the Mac market…

Well, Antic Software sells several disks of objects which we call Design Disks, and those are definite no-nos for people to swap. I want to make sure I'm in the clear before giving anything away. It could be interpreted as some sort of contract violation or something! -Tom

Jim, scoot over to Antic Online (GO ANTIC) and follow the signs to the Cyber Connection. You should find the PD3DCTL accessory over there. -Tom

John, I can upload a test file for you with some simple objects in it, like cubes, spheres, etc. if you like. CAD-3D is the only commercial 3D program for the ST, I believe. Some of the drafting packages may support some sort of 3D file format, but I'm not…

Right on all points, Dave. I'm working on DEGAS Elite for the ST now, and it gets rough when you want to do a certain graphics op that's too slow unless a blitter is installed. Like you said, what can you do? According to Atari, the blitter for the ST…

Oh, I'm not questioning the fact that things like the blitter shutting down the 68K are better. I KNOW the blitter can do things a lot more efficiently. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I could have sworn that William Volk said something about one or more of the graphics…

I agree with you on the text — for some reason the ST's text is awfully slow. Might speed up with a blitter (hope, hope!). I also agree about sprites. I loved them on the Atari 800, and they'd be nice to have available. It's a royal pain to have…

Hmm… I'll probably get hate messages for this, but here goes… Video quality — side by side, I like the ST's picture better than the Amiga's. Personal opinion here — things like this are subjective. The ST monochrome is superb, and the color monitor seems to have less of an…

Thanks for the comments, Mike. It is true that computers that are seen as being in direct competition by their users can produce fierce battles between the users, and the ST and Amiga are no exception. The key element here is the PERCEPTION of the users. I see a lot…
