Regarding your comment that they might not have the necessary experience for selling Amiga products, its been my experience that several properly timed bits of assistance to the right salepeople can often result in price breaks on software and/or hardware.

Some Amiga users only use them for games..they could care less about either the CLI or the WB. Some Amiga users never touch the WB, so they could care less about the WB, same for those who only use the WB and never touch the CLI…they could care less about…

So, look at it this way. The tools like aux: and path developed for 1.3 _are_ for the developers who can then incorporate these 'standard' tools in their applications software that they then sell to Joe User. Joe _does_ benefit, but in a roundabout way.

In a way, my feeling toward computers I use for recreation does have similarities to 'pure math'. I think, though, that a real purist would never dream of using _any_ applications, even those that I deem necessary, like compilers and such.

I never have assumed that you (or anyone who is interested in WB) are not doing something about it. I have stated that I hope that you are.
No more so than supporting the WB to the exclusion of the CLI. Eliminate the ability to run a program from the CLI with command line arguments, and you immediately eliminate the ability to do things from script files, whether those script are called form CLI or WB.
