In Diga! make sure you have 24 lines and transparent cursor setup.
If you have set the protocol to CIS-B … you have 2 alternatives… 1. Type in JUST the filename in Compuserve and set the recieve directory to be where you want the files to go … – or – 2. Make sure the recieve directory (Diga!'s) is set to a…
Auto ReDial is in the upgrade spec. Until the upgrade is released …. I've done a script that does the auto ReDial untill connection. Call tech support for info…
Abort out of a delay from a script? No. Send me email and I make sure the programmers get the message. Thanks.
We will have an announcement on our Policy for the new Diga! … which is still in testing. There are a bunch of new features as well… stay tuned.
There has been continual work done on a Diga! revision since the product shipped. Some of the new features include WXMODEM and improved terminal emulations. Alot of work has been put into eliminating bugs, with making the program work better in limited memory conditions a major goal. Thanks.
I repeat. Diga! file transfers work without problems on Hayes comptable modems. Yep, we are working on an update with better VT100. If you have Diga! setting the cursor to transparent, the number of lines to 24 will make VT100 work alot better. Also the PF keys are on the…
Tech support is 213 392 9972. I don't have the details on Diga! kermit, but I expect it's "plan kermit". The Diga! remote is Diga!'s own, not the UNIX kermit remote stuff…
I use XMODEM almost every day with Diga! without incident. Please call tech support to see if you have a damaged disk. Also let them know what your system configuration is. By the way, on Compuserve use the "B-Protocal" it's actually faster for dealing with compuserve. The number of support…
Not yet. However Diga! uses external emulations. There is a file titled "Emulate.arc" on Compuserve that details how this works …. with examples. It should be possible to write an emulation that does what you want.
Draw Plus has it's own internal plot driver and it's just a simple text file. Draw Plus is a structured drawing product. Instead of dealing with pixels … it stores things as drawing commands. So a circle is stored as a coordinate origin and a radius. The draw file format…
My point was that it's important to have a single scaling factor. Just be carefull to set it appropiatly for you drawing type. With all the different floating point standards this system makes sense. Looking foward to your software.
On Compuserve we uploaded EMULATE.ARC. This consists of documentation on how to create an emulation as well as source for several of the Diga! emulations INCLUDING VT100.
Draw Plus supports the HPGL, HI, Epson, Apple and any plotter which uses ASCII text to draw. You can even drive PostScript!. Draw Plus has a file (text) called a plot driver (several examples on disk) that tells Draw Plus what commands to use for your plotter, the plotter resolution,…
Fixing the "load emulation from a script bug" was quite difficult as the problem was mainly running out of memory. But it's been done. The Diga! rev. is in Beta and as you can imangine is being pounded on. Sorry for the delay. Do check out the docs on creating…
Most of the dicussion has gone on in BIX, in the Amiga.dev section. I will be doing most of the implimentation toward the end of this year. BUT I can get a spec out quickly. As to your suggestion for super positioning, I would hope that a 32 bit number…
Is that an ASCII plotter driver …. i.e. command x stuff y stuff? Just curious of Draw Plus will drive it.
Do you mean clear the screen?
I don't know if we will change the names of existing products. I do know that any new product WILL have a different name. Draw was a great name in 1985, but the Amiga's grown quite a bit since then. By the way, I'm thinking of creating an IFF for…
Sounds reasonable. If we did put message ports into a CAD product, you could have a script facility that accessed the message ports. I will make sure your suggestion gets fowarded to the design team.
There will be no product CALLED Draw Pro. There will be new CAD stuff as well as a 68881 version of Draw Plus (68020/68881 is in testing). We feel that the name "Draw" has been a problem in the CAD world. We also have announced a 3D Modeling program called…
I actually did recommend buying a Apple plotter. I think the Roland message was a responce to someone asking my opinon of the Roland plotters…
Better said than I could. There can be problems with getting some plotters and the Amiga to handshake properly. Surprisingly this happens with HP Plotters most of the time, but is fixable via. special commands you can send the HP Plotter to XON/XOFF handshake.
I don't believe there's been a rev. I can't announce any future plans on this product yet. Write in with suggestions/.
No, the Roland DXY980 is a good plotter but it's not the only one to buy. The Epson plotter is a great little A size plotter. I've seen the B size Apple plotters on sale for amazing prices as well. I will say that for some reason it's HARD to…
We havent seen it yet… I don't know who actually created it. If it was the F-14 then it probably was VideoScape 3D. Pebber Brown/Aegis
The epson HI 80 sucks. Dont buy it whatever you do. The only one that's any good is worth saving up forget the Roland DXY-980. Both Draw and Draw plus were developed in tandem with that particular plotter and it really is the best value on the market. The Apple…

Every action in Draw or Draw Plus does some allocation and/or deallocation. For example a line is a linked list of poly-points pointed to by a graphics element which itself sits on a linked list of other graphics elements and may be sitting on a linked list of drawings, or…
Yep with the plotter stuff it helps to use direct copies to isolate the problem. That's weird about {_WP and the clock program. Someone is stomping on something quite badly. Draw Plus does do a TON of memory allocations and deallocations, so if there is some bad memory allocation previous…
Tech support is at 213 392 9972 Thanks.
Yep, I've heard good stuff about PCLO too…. Drae and Draw plus check the "state" of the Amiga (memory avalable and fragmentation) continiously. Not fun but 1.0 required it. I've never seen a Draw Plus crash…
We are just finishing docs on VideoTitler. Looks like late this month at best for a release. The major benifit of VideoTitler is that it can use all sorts of Amiga source materal (IFF, ANIM's, Amiga Fonts, Color Fonts, and PolyFonts) has an Intuition interface with overscan and PAL support…

The next Draw or whatever upgrade will have some way of being programmed. We haven't had an upgrade since Draw Plus. The best way to do what you want is to force feed input events into the system. There are examples of this floating around, see RKM for examples of…

Put the config into the phone book …. not the script. This IS a bug and is fixed in the next revision. Thanks.
The file emulate.arc contains all docs and several examples of Diga! emulations. It wasen't finished (the docs on emulations) when Diga! shipped. The new version is in testing …. biggest problem is adding the requested features and improving operation on 512K Amiga.
Yes, they are supported via. CTRL-Right Side of Numerical keypad.!!! Call tech support for more info …. 213 392 9972

New ANIM format?
Message #85153
There is a new version of ShowANIM (4.00) that ADDS some new compression formats and runs faster. The new compression stuff is quite good. For example, the ANIM "The Dream Goes Berserk" created by Leo Schawb in VideoScape 3D is over 500K in size. With one of the new compression…

Just select your buffer save to drive DF1: (hit the DF1: button on the save requester). You can use ANY text file to create messages, just use ASCII file transfer to upload it. TxED and NotePAD provide the ADDITIONAL ability to transfer directly into the capture buffer, but Diga! can…
The Apple LaserWriter can be connected via. the serial port. A company called Scott Anthony Studios (415) 826-6193 sells IFF and Draw Plus to postscript conversion programs. There is also a PD PostScript printer driver for the AMIGA posted on BIX. Hope that helps… . us . su
Thanks, let me know how it goes….
Please check out Draw Plus and let me know what you think we should add to it. Thanks. William Volk
