Look at what has come from this little adventure into C, imagine if you did this full time??? Have you gone down the ACAD BBS list and planted SLDMGR in other soils? You could even put some slides in with it. Perhaps I will start the ball rolling. Putting slides…

Sure, what you need to do is dig into entity access a little. The 38 field in a Lisp entity list gives you the Z (or elevation) of the entity. If this field is not present the Z elevation is 0. You can pull that information off the entity list…

That's a new one for me. Never heard of a Plot 10, so I asked around in the dept. and got the same answers. Who makes this plotter? Most plotters (specially the off brands) usually emulate HPGL. If that is the case then you should not have too many problems…

How can anything that can't do DXF and is priced as shareware, compete? I haven't seen the program, but after ON-Line today runs your add, they won't stand a chance! Jamie

Yes indeed, I even have to ask (even though I drew it) as it is company property. I think we may be able to get a release of it, but we'll see. I have many 3d drawing that are collecting dust, I plan to get the ok for as many…

Without the handshake code your plotter buffer probably will fill and overflow, causing a loss of drawing data. I would suggest you get look into network PLOTTER spoolers. There are a few on the market now and I am sure there are some folks here that have used them. Any…

It may be that you don't have CGA emulation, in which case select Alphanumeric Display. Try that option and see what you get. Jamie

I don't think it is using the system memory and even if it was, there shouldn't be a problem as Sketch takes what is available. (512k required) If you are getting the Color screen for AutoSketch, then you mst have 256k memory. Jamie

Ok, you got it. I have most of all those items. I will get the official OK to send from the Management. I think there should be no real problems. Now fair is fair, I want some 3d drawings from you guys. Ok? Jamie

This is an unusual message. I can't duplicate it and the conditions that would cause a similar message would not normally apply to ACAD.LSP. It sort of sounds like the program has been corrupted so I would start with reloading the software. When AutoCAD starts it looks for ACAD.lsp and…

Well, the only way I could get Shade output to the HP was via Zsoft Paint Brush. Using Freeze I captured an EGA screen. Not quite postscript quality. However to get it into Ventura The following is a tested method (with the help of the Training Dept.) to get .PS…

The train, again? We get requests for this from time to time. I wasn't very successful at getting it "freed" last I tried. I will see if things have changed.

Interesting. I can understand it renaming a (defun) but not a (defun c:). I don't know if there is a "fix", I will experiment with this today. Jamie

We'll it depends on the type of information you are looking for. We have brochures that are sent out upon request, or you can simply ask question from the folks here in the forum. We have an 800 number if you like, 800-332-6473. They can refer you to the Authorized…

You must have the memory. I know it will not run otherwise. Actually I am surprised the EGA has 32k, I thought the lowest it was sold with was 64k. Regardless – If you have Color and high resolution, you have the memory somewhere, Sketch would not work otherwise (less…

I am very interested in what your systems has. Please outline all the parameters in detail. Include things like CONFIG.SYS and Autoexec.bat. Autoflix is pretty straight forward. When you FIRST type AFEGA it will ask you what type of pointing device you are using. After this point you will see…

Well Kevin, I hope you figure out how to get back. If you would please, send me a *Sysop message or an Easyplex with your dealer number in it. I will then give you access to the dealer's section. Jamie

I don't have any information regarding that (how could I it hasn't been announced). Maybe next Wed there will be more information available on what the platform can and can not do, but to speculate on it now would be a waste. I am sure once the machine is out…

Although we have little control over how they handle their ADI development and support, I will pass this along to the ADI product Manager to see if there is something we can do to help. Jamie

I would suggest you do MSmouse emulation, at least that is if the device offers such. I am not familiar with that mouse. To obtain more menu functions? You mean for work without a mouse? The menus can be called by the cursor keys. I'm not sure but it looks…

What you probably got was INSUFFICIENT node space. What you need to do is set your system environment variables. At the dos prompt type; SET ACADFREERAM=24 SET LISPHEAP=40 SET LISPSTACK=5 Do you have AEC? From the sound of it your ACAD.LSP might be the AEC protected lisp files. It could…

Humm, Well it sound like it doesn't like CompuServe's Xmodem. I am reviewing TAPCIS now and will let you know if it makes me switch. You know John with your MAC, you may want to get a copy of Navigator. It is the best thing I have seen yet. Jamie
