Michael, Purchase the current version of the MegAChip and it'll fit fine with the ICD FFV. Any board we've shipped in the last 12 months is small enough to fit with _most_ other expansion devices in the A2000. (though some of them might be abit tight) The exact version of…

From Commodores press release it would appear that the basic configuration for the A1200 is 14Mhz 68EC020 with 2Meg of CHIP ram, 88K floppy, AGA chipset, and the PCMCIA card slot. MSRP is to be $699 with availability slated for early December. Dean DKB Software

Phil, You may want to check with ICD to see if you have the latest ROMs and configuration software for the HD controller. If I remember correctly there was a problem with some of their software and 2.04. Dean DKB Software

Steven, Hmmm, If it's working leave it alone!!! 😉 However, if it fails again try unplugging the power connector from the motherboard and looking for anything strange. (like scorched or burnt pins and plugs) If you find such then you will probably have to replace the burnt part, if not…

Steven, Have you ever checked the power supply voltages with a fully loaded machine. It's possible that your power supply may be going south. Other than that, I can't see anything that would cause your problems with the configuration you have. Dean DKB Software

Steven, If you can't identify the problem, and wish to determine if the MegAChip is at fault call and make arrangements to send the MegAChip back and we'll test it out for you. Have you ever been able to configure your machine in a way that the problem doesn't show…

Steve, According to the specs I have on the 68EC020 it _will_ support a math coprocessor. I don't believe there is one in the standard A1200, but there is on reason that I know of that one couldn't be added. Dean DKB Software

John, On the 4000 and the GVP '040 card make sure that the caches are turned off before loading your code. If it makes a difference then you probably have some self modifing code somewhere. (overlays can cause the same sorts of problems) Are you actually running 2.01 or 2.1?…
