GreG- Thanks for the info. I knew, more or less, why it wasn't working, I just figured there was a way to make it work. You told me what I needed to know in that regard. I actually thought of both transparancy and fog and even thought I tried to…
#Lighting weirdness
Message #12841
GreG- I ran across a situation that I can't figure out. I was trying to model a street light of sorts and this is how it went. I created the main lamp part (metal or whatever) and then added a sphere for the globe containing the bulb. I made the…
>> Really? I scaled it down to about 20 (grid size) in the stage editor and still got the error message. Strange.
>> I _believe_ I covered the differences between the two. Someone else who upgraded from LT to 3.0 hopefully will jump in and correct me if there's more.
>> One thing that kind of sucks is that you have to scale it down in the detail editor, not the stage editor.
I use Paint Shop Pro which does a pretty good job with conversions (as well as having some good painting functions). I think it can be found in GRAPHSUP, but I am not positive. If you are interested in looking at it and can't find it just let me know…

#LOAD DXF
Message #12002
GreG- I am trying to import a DXF model of a human man and have gotten it to load in just fine, but I don't know what all those settings on the LOAD DXF requestor are. I think this particular DXF file should have the arms and legs and eyes…

Barrie- I must say that I jumped the gun in telling you to get busy and upload, I found your steam roller just a few minutes after I had sent that E-Mail. About the image…I like it. I can tell you spent mucho time on modeling the fine details. I…
>>Perhaps this is Darin's problem, but maybe not.

GreG- Actually, the brightness is all the way down and the screen is as dark as I can get it. For some reason my monitor stays pretty bright. I have played with the settings several times and can't get it darker. 🙁 Darin
GreG- Thanks for the comments on my work. I guess I need to look into this darkness thing. Just curious, how dark were the Hell Train and Daisy pictures? Were they also pretty dark? GUMBALL.JPG is not darker than those two on my moinitor. Do you think it could just…
Sam- The Image may very well have been too dark…my monitor tends to be too light and I never really know how it'll look on someone else's. I need to have it checked. Thanks for the comments. Darin
>> And I promissed I'd stay out of this thread. Yes, the cast worked great together, but only AFTER about the first season.
>> …and I'd be lying if I didn't say some of them did suck.
>> All you'd need to to is replace each POV sphere primitive with one of Imagine's CSG perfect sphere's.
>> If he were using POV, this would be a fairly simple proposition.

>> This would be very esay with collision detection.
GreG- I checked the docs for the SET LINE EDGE/FILL TO LINE EDGE and am still having a little trouble understanding it. I will just have to keep working at it. >> I just put a message about this into another thread to Douglas Beard. Any relation?
