Yes. The DEB2000 is a board that sits between the last two IBM slots. A cable goes from that board to the denise socket. The extender picks this cable about 1/4 inch off of this socket to clear for the megachip 2000.
Sorry, I thought that you had that already. On mine, when I went to install the megachip, the two conflicted. Microway sent me a chip extender to pick the DEB2000 cable out of the way. rep exit
Call up microway. They sent me some extender boards free for the denise.
]I don't know if you got my message, but give me a price and I'll take the IVS board. I'm located in washington state and will call in every morning for the next week for your reply.
If you give me the price of the IVS board, you have a taker. I'm located in washington state. I'll call in every day this coming week for your reply.
I would like the board but not the memory.
thanks. I'll try this tonight.
Ok, the next question is that in WB 2.0 and 2.1, there is no driver for rad: in the devs: directory. I assume that it is on the kickstart rom. Could you echo the mountlist entry for rad:?
How much memory do you have? The vector accelerator that I have is expanded to 16 megs.
I tried this patched version and as long as I made a directory (such as vd0:t) it worked fine. But as soon as I put any files in vd0:, it would loose everything. I'm using WB2.1
#vd0: and 16 megs
Message #53109
I realize that the limitation of 8 megs exists, but on my accelerator, which has 16 megs, upon a reboot, when I remount vd0:, all that data is lost. I assume it has to do with the configuring of memory beyond the 8 megs that are autoconfigured.
vd0: and 16 megs
Message #52607
I have a vector 68030 with 16 megs. The problem is that when I reboot, vd0: is lost. While I know that this is not a commercial product, is there a version of vd0: that works with memory beyond 8 megs?
#morph plus questions
Message #52519
I would like to get morph plus but am not sure how well it will look on my system. I am setup with a 68030, 18 megs, a toaster and flicker fixer. My questions/concerns are 1) Is there a way to get the morph sequence into the toaster? 2) Is…
BLACK BURST GENERATOR
Message #27098
I would like to get a black burst generator to blank my video tapes before editing onto them. ESE has a black burst card that fits into the PC slot. Has anyone had any experience with this card or any other recommendations?

#MS-DOS Ram Disk
Message #32501
I have a 1.5 meg ram disk using amiga's ram. I have vd0: running (ram: would probly work too). You just create a 5 meg file from the bridgecard side using jlink, with the file located in ram: or vd0:.
I have set it from 1.5 megs (the default setting) to 8 megs. The document include with the vd0: file said that It was a version that allowed the full 8 meg size. I talked to IVS tech support and he thought maybe the autoconfig of the 16 megs was…
Then we are using the same version of ASDG-RAM. I tried a few different things last night, one where I disabled the 32bit mem via Vectors startup and both RAD and VD0 worked. I have 16 megs on the Vector board. Maybe there is a problem with RAD and VD0…
How much memory do you have on the vector board? I have 16 megs, and can only get vd0: or rad: to work if I boot the vector up without any fastram (I have 2 megs of Chip).
It seems that Memory world supplies the 68030 instead of the 680something30 and instead gives you a 68881 instead of the 68882.
You have to loose 4 meg block out of the 8 when going to 68000 to use with the bridgeboard. The max you can ever get in the 68000 mode is 8 megs.
I got a vector 68030/68881 and 16 megs of mem for a good price. When I run sysinfo (from here) I get a speed of 0.97 of that of a 3000. While I have a MMU, the vector will map kickstart into 32 bit without the MMU. When you reboot,…
Well, the use of rad: and vd0: still are not working. VD0: keeps loosing past files on reboot. Sometimes rad: works. I did download the virtual drive demo that uses the MMU to use the hard drive as memory. I geuss that I will talk to IVS monday.
I just got a version off of the board that has been modified to work with a 3000. I installed in on the HD and got it to work fine. Originally it would come up and say 'NOT A DOS DISK' but it could be because the previous vd0: driver…
VD0: and accelerator
Message #82935
I just upgraded with the vector accelerator board and now VD0: nor RAD: work? I remember discussion about this but not the details. Can someone please fill me in?
control characters
Message #48848
I just got 2.1 installed and went to use CED. I lost the ability to use control cl characters (^j) searches and replaces. I tried TXED and still the same problem. Do you know what the problem is?
Done already. The schematic doesn't show inline fuses on that line. Can I take it that all the 5v lines have an inline fuse. By the way, I blew mine connecting the doorbell button (I leave the compute on 24 hours and my wife wanted a doorbell, so I hooked…
I just caught the tale end of this. I just lost the xy movement of my mouse and its not the mouse. The joystick works fine in either port But the mouse won What's this about a fuse?
Home grown. There is a large hassle using the amiga in a PC world. But it gets the job done with no cost to the company. I am at a point now that 1) do I continue setting up the AT on my own time, but becomes the property of…
I'm controlling HP5880 and Leap Technologies autosamplers. I used to download the text files off of the HP HP5880 via there serial port board, but the board drops out sometimes and is now used for just uploading and downloading methods. I have Maxima (waters) acquiring the data and download the…
Ok, I'll reconfigure my startup-sequence without conman. I didn't see the resizing F1/F2 in the documents. Also, I am very used to the * wildcard ability. This isn't mentioned in the documents either.
Wshell2.0/conman
Message #29214
I have been using Wshell 2.0 for a while and decided to try some of the niceties. When I tried to use the Menu in DHopt, the error message came back that a version >37 was required. So, I checked out the libraries and found that my conman was 36…
I used true basic back in 88 and still use the programs. At the time, the problems were that it opened its screen on the workbench without the paging icons in the corners. I used a screen switching/hot keys program to get over this. The other problem was that the…
I have gotten Maxiplan4 and it does have the capability of saving Lotus 1-2-3.
GFA basic is supported in the US. The phone is 508-744-0201. Speak to John Barger.
GPFax and WB1.3
Message #65504
I have your .32bis fax modem and gpfax software. I have both 1.3 and 2.0 worbench on my machine. When I boot the system into 2.0, GPFax w works fine. But when I boot the system into 1.3, when GPFax starts, it locks the computer up during the 'checking environmental…
The only hookup you need is a 5 volt power supply. Mine came with drives in them. There are three cables connections inside. One (the 4 pin slot) is for the power to the DD. The 25 pin ribbon cable is to the DD connector on the back of the…
I have been looking at Proper Grammer and in the ad in Amigaworld, it says that Proper Grammer can import and export wordperfect (along other word processors). Why can't Final Copy also do the same. I want to find an alternative to WP, but my wife has to have the…
It looks like the serial port is waiting for and end of line character (CR). If it isn't recieving the character, then it waits for the buffer to fill up. I have had trouble with the A2232 serial driver not being able to look for that end of line character…
bad 8520 chip
Message #43249
I have a Amiga 1000 that has a bad 8520. It most likely is the one that is connected to the keyboard. Does anyone know whether it is the left or right chip when facing the front of the machine?
I like your file selector, but when you double click on a file with the mouse, it doesn't automatically open the file. Hitting return is no problem.
Thanks. I have installed 2.0 with the multistart but haven't started using 2.0 yet because I am afraid of which software packages won't work with 2.0. I hope Wshell update is soon to be released.
That would make life between the crack much easier.
Bill, I haven't upgraded to Arexx 1.15 (The last one I recieved was 1.10). Is the version with 2.0 Arexx 1.15?
In a large company, standardization is the law. While I have 2 amigas in a building where there are probably 500 IBM's and maybe a handful of Macs, the company has dictated that you will use Excel and Wordperfect. The main reason for this is the cost of upgrades on…
I have had Superbase professional for quite awhile and didn't upgrade when the offer came out. I was basically afraid of what eventually happened and didn't want to upgrade to a product that may not have bug fixes. I would like to continue using the product in the upgraded form,…
I have talked to GVP about the upper limit of memory with the 68030 boards and they said that besides the memory on their cards (13 meg limit with 22 Mhz, 16 meg limit with 33Mhz and 32 meg limit with 50Mhz) you also have the memory that is on…
I tried wshell in my startup and it didn't recognize where the rom commands were (like run ,path). Any help with Pauls problem?
Well, this is the sh*ts. I don't really feel that I can switch over to 2.0 painlessly now. I geuss I'll call DKB monday and see if there is any solution (other than returning the multistart.
#Multistart/2.04/toaster
Message #39256
I have a 2000 (rev 6.2), Flicker Fixer, Denise extender and a Toaster. I have tried to install Multistart and 2.04 with no success. Anyone have any luck with such a combo?
After leaving you the message, I found the option in the manual. Believe it or not, I haven't been able to use advantage. Maxiplan, though it has a few minor bugs, is still much more powerful and user friendly than advant.
