WB1.3,Fax/Modem.. Message #64988
From: Rex Suba Amiga User Forum · Communications August 7, 1992 10:27 PM
I tried to scan all other message prior to writing this but saw no specific answer…. I am planning to buy the SupraFaxModem 14.4K. I have a 2500/30 but am currently running WB1.3 by necessity. Has anyone had any problem with WB1.3, this modem, and speeds higher than 9600 bps?…

#15119 Genlock won't work Message #15358
From: Rex Suba Amiga Arts Forum · Videophile January 25, 1992 11:01 PM
After I purchased my used A2000 a year ago, I could not get my SuperGen exexternal genlock to boot up. It turned out that the a certain resistor was "blown" which outputs the the (I believe) the 12v charge out of the video port to the genlock. When the genlock…
#Proofing Amax Message #42078
From: Rex Suba Amiga User Forum · Bridgeboard/AMAX November 30, 1991 10:06 AM
Margaret, Since both the ImageWriter II and the 1091i are 9-pin printers, the aspect ratio is very, very close. I had the 1091i in the early days of my AMAX ownership and found no difficulty other than the fact that the Pana. has no reverse feed. I had to purchase…

I am using ZTerm 0.8 from AMAX which I booted from a 12 meg partition on my hard disk with a Kronos 2000 card. I probably embarked on a tougher journey than I really needed to but I decided to use the re-partitioning as a good excuse to re-organized my…

From: Rex Suba Amiga User Forum · Bridgeboard/AMAX March 9, 1991 9:22 AM
I have just now installed the new PAL that was sent by Micro-Dyn for my Kronos "AMAX II" upgrade. I will complete my HD backup and then make about a 16 or 17 meg AMAX partition. If all goes well, you should hear from be around Thursday or Friday……… Rex…

From: Rex Suba Amiga User Forum · Bridgeboard/AMAX March 1, 1991 12:25 AM
John, Since we only have the _128K_ ROMS in AMAX, it would quite a trick to come up with color…. The 128K roms support only 2 colors, not exactly "color" in my book. You can indeed set up a partition but only on specific SCSI interfaces. The AMAX II+ is…

From: Rex Suba Amiga Tech Forum · ARexx February 26, 1991 9:43 PM
Bill, I just purchased an older version of AREXX. Can I send an upgrade payment with my warranty card to get the upgrade or have I already sent my card in? I can't seem to find it…. Rex Suba
Kronos and AMAX! Message #16078
From: Rex Suba Amiga User Forum · Bridgeboard/AMAX February 26, 1991 9:24 PM
Just got my AMAX II driver software from Micro-Dyn and will soon get my AMAX II software upgrade from ReadySoft. If you have a Kronos and want that much-needed HD support, the software is indeed shipping and can be shipped UPS COD. You can contact Rick Estes at Micro-Dyn, P.O.…
#15973 Amax II Experience? Message #16077
From: Rex Suba Amiga User Forum · Bridgeboard/AMAX February 26, 1991 9:21 PM
John, Among the features that AMAX II now supports is the SetCPU (FASTROM) option for accelerators, hard disk support (from ReadySoft comes device drivers for GVP, Nexus, CBM interfaces. 3rd party makers Supra, IVS, and now Micro-Dyn [Kronos] provide files for their hd interfaces), Macintosh sound support, use of System…

From: Rex Suba Amiga Arts Forum · Videophile February 4, 1991 8:55 PM
I have worked with HAM-E and was quite unimpressed with the paint program and the amount of effort needed for use. Despite the current hardware concern, I find DCTV much more painless to use and just as powerful. Rex Suba, Tomodachi Video

I just ordered DCTV and happened to at my local dealer to look at what I have ordered and it seems that, without a separate adapter, you can't use DCTV's output with even the SuperGen genlock from the same company! It's in the docs (page 1-4). Now I called Digital…

Norm, ICD's card sounds interesting. What kind of utilities come with it and does it have any easy way to format, partition, etc. especially for the AMAX. I have seen the basic software from the WordSync and you know how cryptic the SCSIDos docs are….. Rex

Disks? Message #4013
From: Rex Suba Amiga Vendor · Gold Disk December 18, 1988 2:18 AM

The problem does not affect the printing of the Postscript file to disk; however,…

Mike, The composite coming from the A1000 without the genlock was much sharper than the combined image coming from the Genlock, so I definitely do not agree with you there. Also, there have been many more experienced desktop producers who have published comments to that effect. The video is much…
