You can find a file in our Personal Publishing library (#16) called PPFREE.TXT that's a form that can be printed out and mailed to PP to see if you qualify for a complimentary subscription. If nothing else, you can get the appropriate address from the file!

I think the folks on the HP forum have a few people that are TIFF experts. As you probably know, HP is somehow involved in TIFF standarization. When you say read/write TIFF files, do you mean graphics software or something else?

Hello, I am looking for some utilities to read/write TIFF files. I have the format of the TIFF file (spec 5.0) but I don't *really* want to implement it all myself. Does anyone know of a commercial library available? (Something like PCX Programmer's Toolit). ndw

Many things go thru visual edge besides halftones. Other types of bitmaps go much faster. Forms of text that are curves, line art, etc. are much speedier. Remove the garbage from Win.Ini seems to speed things up further…. Wm Feldman

Perhaps I missed something, but why would you expect _any_ improvement in printing speed from using the Visual Edge on forms and text? I didn't think that even line art went through the Visual Edge–only halftones. Text certainly doesn't.

The feature list on A&L 2 was frozen so late that I bet the T&T manual was the least of their worries. My guess is that all registered users will get a T&T manual when one is produced.

You are right, Gary. Creating the overlay using another package other than the JetForm Design module is possible. The JetForm Print module can interface any data to a Laserjet resident form overlay. But recommending us to go out and buy 3 or 4 packages is not a wise economical move…
