Hello, I just purchased and received my LW4.0 PC version from private sale. However, the package was not sealed and the box has been opened already. I have no reason to believe my private source would remove anything, nor did the content looked incomplete. But I just would like check…

Hello, I am an application developed working on "VR" apps and have been using TS as my object modeler. I am now trying to improve my development cycle by writing a tool to convert objects in .COB binary format to .RWX for my RenderWare real-time 3D API to use. I…

Well, if you can point me to someone who can tell me definitively whether the file format has changed, and if so, whether we can get the documentation for it, I'd appreciate it.

Video for DOS (the shareware one, don't know where to find it… I'm sooooo useful) would be an excellent choice here… creating an uncompressed AVI, and then working it later with Premiere. -Ian

Alan, thanks a lot for your suggestions. Things become more and more precisely. It turns out I will get a second PC (pentium120?) with a better modeller I have at the moment. And I will get the DTP my customers are using (corel and quarkexpress) first; then an Indy. The…

Is there anyone out there who can tell me how to use the 'metals' textures in Imagine? How do I change the numbers in the boxes so that I get the different types of metals and finishes? Thanks Bruce Van Horn
It is? How do I do that? How can I tell when it is full? (worried about loss of fan mail) (grin) This mail system is a bit confusing…I wish that all the forum maill would come to the main box address. You mean I missed 3 e-mails from you?…
Do not feel bad Konstantin! I must confess that I am unemployed and have plenty of time to indulge in lengthy discourse. Plus the fact that I lack any of the restraints that are prerequisite to success in this "real" world. (grin) It is always nice to have friends like…

Bob, I don't believe Impulse has settled on any pricing for the Windows version, it's really premature to do so. I have heard a few thoughts on the subject, but nothing concrete. What I have heard though so far, should make upgrading from IM4.0 affordable. -GreG

I doubt that Lightwave is an appropriate modeller for building things that will be manufactured. There are geometry issues that affect manufacturability that require a CAD modeler. Alias Studio has the required tools (and unfortunately, an extremely high price tag) the lower priced package (Alias Designer) may have the necessary…
