Raymond, calm down. Take Bri's advice and get in touch with Feedback. Also, even though this is after the fact, you should try to download only at late hours (or early morning hours) when there are considerably less users on the system. There's a file in DL1 called SAVMON.HLP -…
thanks
Sounds great Jeff, who do I send a change of address to? Marlene
Thanks Jeff…Marlene
Larry, I'm going to use DVII and a color camera…no use in getting the B&W now since their new software filters out the grainy stuff caused by the color camera. Thanks tho for the info. Marlene
Jeff, one other thing, seems that the only people I have heard of who received upgrade cards from EA were unprotected disk owners. Is that true, and if so – why? Marlene
Jeff, a friend of mine called EA the other day and they told him $57 for unprotected. Is that for a protected AND unprotected disks? Or was it just mis-information. Hope they send him a refund if what they said was wrong! Marlene

Thanks for the info Larry. Seems the best bet is a used security camera (the ones used in banks, stores, etc.). Marlene

Yes Don, sorry if it wasn't clear. You get the unprotected version of DPII. Marlene
I thought that a century can never be a leap year?????? Marlene
I would Sam, but I believe I get only one more issue. When the subscription renewal comes they'll here from me. Marlene

I saw a demo of Digi-Paint (formally Hambone) tonight – really nice program. You can put one picture in front of another and then scrape away the front picture revealing the one in back. It has a cut and paste feature, and animation – for eg. you can spin the…
Robert, are you sure there's enough room on the disk in df1? There's no logical reason why ARC would work on one disk and not the other unless there isn't enough room or there's something wrong with the disk. Marlene Have you tried deARCing in RAM?
If you guys weren't so far from Wall St. – I'd be there more often. Won't you consider moving at least to mid-town??? (grin) Marlene
thanks Steve, Don told me the same thing last night. Sorry for the misinformation.
Ken, FONTED.ARC is in DL9 – perhaps the doc file (if there is one) is embedded in the archive. BTW, there is a font editor (FED) in 1.2 Marlene
James, 1.2 is out – it's available at Amiga dealers for $14.95. For the zillionth time – CBM is not crumbling – they're doing better than they have in a long time. AND speaking of IBM – SideCar is now available in Canada. Marlene
Mark, I have an Avatex 1200 ($80-$120) it is almost fully Hayes compatible (if that's important to you) and there is another Avatex that is fully Hayes for a few more bucks. I go up to Boston a few times a year and I found a great store in Wellesley…
Robert, I believe that ARC has to be on the same disk as the file you are deARCing. Solution: put arc on the disk in df1:. If you want to deARC in ram: – do the same thing put arc and the file in ram:. I don't think it's recommended…
Chip, I don't recall if ArgoTerm has a capture feature (sorry Jez), but if it doesn't you can use Starterm (DL4) to capture the messages. Set capture on – do whatever you do to capture messages (whether you read them by categories or the whole message base), type NS after…
Jeff, Leigh's Computers in NYC has 1.2 or at least they did. They're in the 80's on 3rd Ave. Marlene BTW, if they are out of 1.2, I believe they are allowed to make copies for you and you can backorder for their next shipment – the $14.95 charge is…

I have to check on a friends piano – as I don't have one anymore. Probably around 10-11 keys. Now I'm curious – so I will check. Marlene
Bri, in my office (in NYC) consultants bill at their usual rate (which varies from approximately $300 to $700 a day) no matter what job they are there to do. Whether it's programming, design, or an advisory position. I don't think you should let the fact that you are programming…

Jon, you can be sure that CIS will release a statement to all users stating their policy clearly – as this whole thing has gotten out of hand. Instead of speculating – let's wait to hear the real thing from the horses' mouth. Marlene

Chuck you need USQ.EXE in DL4. The program has been squeezed. For more info read the help file USQLAR.HLP in DL0.

Gwen, try using the information in Appendix C of the DVideo manual to create 8-color versions of the pictures in DPaint. Make sure you are using the same 8 colors for each picture. Then you'll be using 'CURRENT' instead of 'BEST' when you get the requestor in Framer. If this…

What is the pallette that you used in DPaint when creating the bird? Or did you create the bird with polygon text? If you created it as a polygon then the pallette that you would get is the default one in DVideo – if the bird is the last object…

Tom, I left a msg for EA but they didn't reply. Can a person/company sell videos on either disk or VHS tape that was created with DVideo? Is there any kind of licensing agreement? Full acknowledgment to Electronic Arts would be included of course. Thanks, Marlene
