Marc don't bother with a trackball – the mouse gives you much better control. They state in the documentation that there is a trackball that is read like a mouse – but I haven't seen nor heard of one. Marlene

Yes, it's like no one wants to openly admit that the Amiga is terrific or deserves extensive coverage…Even Webster isn't talking about it anymore and Jerry Pournelle doesn't give it a great deal of mention either. You know Steve, after all the years of putting up with the game machine…

Jeff, shipping and handling shouldn't be a problem as the customer could certainly send a stamped self addressed return disk envelope. As a matter of fact the customer could send you a blank disk too. Yes, I really think that $20 is unreasonable – If EA did the above I…

Jeff, just keep doing UNIQUE stuff that takes advantage of the Amiga… no more ports. I'm not going to bug you about CP – but I would like to know why EA is charging an outrageous $20 for an unprotected copy? Marlene

There is such a wealth of information available in CIS that I think that is an unfair statement. They shouldn't be obligated to pass along everything available in the DL's freely to other services or local BBS's etc. After all they are in business to make money and they do…

John, I think you should write a book on AmigaBasic – the only books on the subject besides the manual are 2 books from COMPUTE! one for beginners and one for intermediate/advanced which hasn't been released yet. A book that deals with libraries, sound and graphics would be great. Marlene

AmigaWorld is such a piece of trash – I am not proud to admit that I have a subscription. I would really like to see Amazing Computing become as well known as BYTE, and blow AM back to whatever planet it came from!

#DOS Manual

I have ordered the AmigaDos Manual and the other Amiga manuals from the store where I bought my computer. They said that each manual is about $40 each. Today at a bookstore they had the AmigaDOS Manual published by Bantam Books for $24.95. Is there any difference between them?

According to the Computer Factory where I bought my Amiga (Garden City NY) Commodore told them they had to sell it at the new price. They were not price protected, therefore they had to sell whatever stock they had regardless of what they paid Commodore, for the new lower price.…
