Ok. I have heard that we are working on support for Cirrus 5434. It is used by the Orchid Kelvin 64 and the Diamond Speedstar 64. I don't know what the status of this is, but it IS in the works. Chuck Walbourn – Vibrant Graphics
In general, the speed of FLC playing corresponds to speed of data transfer over the bus and the 'blit' speed of the hardware. For example, the fastest technology we have seen for playing FLICs is the Dell DGX, basically a video board that mapped video ram as system memory. The…
We are working on getting this board in house. Have you tried some of the generic 'Cirrus' listings in the second-half of the cardlist? Do any of them work? I'll send a note to someone here again about this board… Chuck Walbourn – Vibrant Graphics

You need to get the released 1.0.3.P1 drivers from this system. The Beta's didn't support MGA-1 (MGA Impression/MGA Pro) under 3D Studio because of some problems we had with single-screen configurations. 1.0.3 fixes this. Chuck Walbourn – Vibrant Graphics PS: It is VIB3DS.ZIP.
>Thanks for the reply Chuck. I am going to mail you the .txt file press >release for the board so maybe you can direct me further. Would the chipset >be the "Cirrus Logic CL-GD5434 graphics controller"? Try the Cirrus 5434 selection in the generic section. Chuck Walbourn – Vibrant Graphics

>What then is vib103.zip (also in the same library area) dated 6/21/94? >Is this a later upgrade? Basically, 1.0.3.C2 wasn't supposed to be released to the public. Hmm.. I don't know of any problems we are having. If you having problems with the 640x480x16 and 320x200x256 modes, then you might have some hardware problems on the board. Does it run fine in other products like Windows, games, etc? Chuck Walbourn – Vibrant Graphics PS: Please e-mail me…
I'll see if someone around here can give me a hint on this… Chuck Walbourn – Vibrant Graphics
What board are you using? Chuck Walbourn – Vibrant Graphics
Sorry about the delays with the Mach 64. We are looking into it. The 5 second delay is due to the BIOS on the Mach 64 taking a while to determine memory size… We are looking at ways around this, but we aren't clear on what else to do about…
The Diamond Stealth 64 is supported by the Vibrant inline driver version 1.0.3 on this forum as VIB3DS.ZIP Chuck Walbourn – Vibrant Graphics
Well, I appologise for the changes in the fonts. We recently had someone go through all of our fonts to make them match the standard Code page 437 (US default)–we needed this for internationalization. It seems that some of the characters are looking a bit wierd. I'll see if someone…
Not sure. The code we are using to initilize the board is from Matrox, so it should work. Have you tried all listed modes? What kind of system setup do you have? Are you sure the Matrox card you have is an MGA card? Chuck Walbourn – Vibrant Graphics
Again, I did not mean to spread misinformation. The Illuminator Pro was mentioned as a response to a message about the Matrox Pro, and I wanted to make sure that the distinction between the chipsets was clear. The MGA chipset is used in the Matrox MGA Impression, the Matrox MGA…
