Gary, FWIW, I was very impressed by the new ad. and the stuff in CG. If I were someone at one of the "other" companies, I get real nervous about what r2 had to offer. you probably have heard this a lot lately but r2 is nothing short of AMAZING!…
Gary, if the improvements from 1.0 to 2.0 continues to the next version…IMHO, you guys (adesk/yost group) will OWN the market. Constantly amazed & awed, Greg Moore SPEA, Inc.
Tom, sorry for the delay in answering your msg. What would I would like to see from hyperchem to 3ds might be in the form of a dxf file or .3ds file(maybe fli). some way to move the chemical that I am viewing into one of the other Adesk MM…

Steve, I agree, $4k is a bit steep, but I dont think Ricoh is to worried. When I was at fall Comdex, I saw a lot of them in an OEM version. The most interesting thing was what is called Floptical (flop tickle) drives that store 20-40MB(I think, maybe more)…

Larry, you may be right dudette, but you can't use the full Windows API (so I'm told). after using VB for a while I would think it would be easy to out grow VB and then you would have to start over and learn Windows programming all over again….at least…

Andrew, (can I call you that ? or do you prefer something else?) Your story sounds like something I'd like to read when your finished. As I mentioned before, I use Chaos primarily for entertainment and for things that might end up in one of my 3d Studio renderings. I'm…

Welcome to HyperChem
Message #10096
Tom, I think that there is a difference between 'using' and 'working with'. you could say I use Hyperchem….work with…welllll I still find it kinda daunting. I do how ever find the whole thing very interesting. your last message was a great help in how to show something "meaningful". I…
I like to think of myself as an abuser of chaos. I knew about long before James Gelich….just look at my desk . just one question…Are we talking about the Autodesk Chaos, Chaos by itself or both ? Your article sounds very interesting. I'd be glad to/willing to help in…
Well, as far as I know 3ds only runs on a PC. I didn't mean to imply that the entire movie was created by 3ds just the Ballroom scenes. Greg Moore SPEA, Inc
Martin, I know of the book but I can't find it ANYWHERE! seems to me like trying to find a copy of John Walkers book…..dern near impossible… Greg
Tom, my interest would be getting and interesting molecule for use with 3ds. I am also interested in molecular modeling from a graphics standpoint and from a chemical standpoint, although I have had very little chemical training. I most interested in the mutate option…. Any way to model DNA easily…
CHAOS to predict STOCK ?!?!??? sounds either far out in left field or state of the art. you know the saying….a significantly advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic. Greg Moore SPEA, Inc
Gary, I say the news clip which mentioned 3ds. I think Bigger congrats go to the Yost Group because Beauty & the Beast was the 1st EVER animated film to be nominated for an Oscar (academy award ?) Greg < "I'd rather fight then switch"> Moore SPEA, Inc.
Lee, Being a developer and user, I would agree with J. Foust. With some exceptions, I think that if I can't get the program to do something "meaningful" WITHOUT reading the manual FIRST *or* I can't find something cognizant in the manual…the software will probably gather dust in the corner.…
Terry, the speed increase sounds interesting….the Ricoh drive I have is great but not the fastest (+- 100ms) I wonder if I can stac a scsi drive ? gee that could be interesting…279MB (+- 293,000 bytes) on a side could become over 500Mb !?!?!? and be FASTER ?!?! just think…
Vahid, Sorry, I cant help you….I'm looking for the same Books! *** If anybody out there in CIS land knows any thing about a book PLEASE chime in! Larry, Gary, anybody….ARE YOU LISTENING ??? Greg Moore SPEA, Inc.
David, Before I answer you question about stacker let me give you a bit of background. One of the guys I work with knows some one at the company that makes SuperStor and he got a a few eval copies. He installed it on his entire HD and I installed…
James, Thanks for the info I had not looked at that ish. of PC Mag. Looks real interesting. Thanks Again, Greg Moore SPEA, Inc.
Larry, I just recently got Stacker 2.0 also and I am not really suprised by what you said. Pkunzip and Stacker both work on the same general principal, data compression. using both I would not expect a disk with a lot of zip files to show a much increase when…
Problem with Chaos
Message #9501
Roger, Huuuummm…….. That could be why it runs ok for me. I have a device driver for a Ricoh rs-9200EII optical drive (great drive!) that doesn't like DOS=HIGH. They say they are working on the problem.
