I wish you could too. At least X & Y did get going. I have since found that there is a problem locally with water in the phone junctions so the techs are going in to try repairs somewhere. Buth the other prots didn't even get off the blocks. Can't…
I uploaded messages via C/s Mail. They went up as binary files. It seems that their presence is known but their whereabouts are not. That's why I appended a piece from Peter Hill in case it might illuminate the subject.
Yes I was advised. I set at 8-n-1
Fine if only these B prots would work.
I was wondering if the files on the Ncom disc are compatible with your system for B,B+ and quickB as these all fail

To Betty Clay 76702,337 Subject:attepted download of ap.lha For almost three hours I have tried using every protocol I can acess. First log on with Ymodem. There were 4 CRC errors, whatever they are, then at block 400 the system just died as it did before. Next log on with B+.…
I'm glad you said IF. When you have read my other messages you'll see what I mean.

To Betty Clay 76702,337 Subject: ProtocolsResearch I have made a series of copies of my NComm program disc. Each one has been configured for a different protocol according to the libraries on the disc. It is my intention to go through the practice forum and test a short upload and…
So am I. I am setting up a test program to research the protocols on NComm. The full message on this will be adressed to Betty Clay but no doubt anyone can access it for information.
Name is Mr.Geoff Lohrere 17 Renwick Road Ferntree Gully Melbourne VIC3156 Australia
Thank you Don. It will be most helpful if it can be done.

I was downloading ap.lha using Ymodem. At block 143,bytes 146432, the data, dcd and oh lights on my modem went out and the whole system died. I have had to re-log-on to be able to do this message. The portion received will be saved to my dh1. Please advise what causes…
#disc copy utility
Message #216915
I have for some time been a user of a disc copying utility for all my game discs called PowerCopyProfessional. It has never failed to make a backup of any game disc no matter what form of encryption protection is placed therein by the software writer. Have you heard of…

When browsing through Classifieds or Libraries, there seems to be no indication of wether the game/libfile will work on PAL. We in Australia as well as Europe use PAL not NSTC. Can the system be amended to show this useable distinction?
Thanks Asha. That seems like a great idea.
Thanks for the info. Maybe I should exit a section at regular intervals instead of browsing at length.
Thanks. Will do that tomorrow
Thanks for the info. Will do.
Thank you. I have some already but not Leonardo

#disc copy utility
Message #216394
If this is not the right area for this message, please forward. I have been using a utility for some time that I highly recommend for anyone wishing to make copies of their game disks. I do so with every game in case a disc decides to go belly up.…
Thank you. I will look there. My reference to time limit refers to the eventual NO CARRIER message on my terminal after some time browsing

While browsing through a long list of messages on your files, I saw lots of technical items and some references to possible new hardware items. But I saw nothing of GAMES availability or upcoming. Am I in the right place? The system cut out while near the end of section…
Thank you again. You gave me this info previously but I did not act on it yet due to the possible. I will do so tomorrow then try Comp.B to get the Autopilot download.
Thank you. I will try Comp.B next as I think that I have no capacity in Y as there are no files on my Ncom disc for these.

To Betty Clay 76702,337 I have used XModem to download file lha138.run. All appears to have gone well in so far asa it got to the end, but one error was noted as CRC error at block 282. Does this make the file unuseable? I have transferred it to my…

to Ken Taylor 76275,2406 in reply to your of 15 Oct. The only JRCom available here is an evaluation read demo disc that only has zmodem on it. To get a full working copy, it is necessary to register with the writer. So I can't go with it for now.…

To Amiga Users board. My mis-adventures with downloading. To start with, I was using 7-N-1 as my set up as this is what was advised to me locally when I first joined Compuserve. Many failed attempts later, and after some message/reply sessions with Sysop Betty Clay 76702,337 in Communications I…
