Message #157787
Hello all, A buddy of mine was cleaning out his closet the other day and came across a complete 2000 system with monitor. Well he hadn't used it from the 1.2 days and was going to dump it. So I stepped in and saved the orphan and now need a…
No tail on this one, All battery. I have been thinking about possibly trying alternatives though like an external pack (like videographers use) – battery belt. Cheers! Shawn Silent Paw Productions

Message #155330
Post away Hilary, My production shop doesn't need them but there are still plenty of the Amiga 2000 workhorses around. 🙂 I'm certain someone maybe interested….. Shawn Silent Paw Productions
Hello Richard, I am interested in your Alladin 4D software. If it is the latest software I will take it. If not do you know who makes the software and how much they are charging? Send me the particulars with your address and I will send you a check. Thanks…
Asimware, is looking to use the Amiga as a direct CD sampling and out put device. This means you would not have that loop around from front of your CD to the back of your Amiga where your sampler is any more. I talked to them recently and there is…
Hello Hillary, I don't know if this will help but I had a problem before with the Toaster / TBC III combo. When trying to install the software the system would fail when it reached any point when it looked for the card (I believe around 30 or so it…
Er, there's that name again, Samsung (Korean company),. Have you heard of anything more on the "aquisition" of C=? Or are you going off the same RUMINT "Rumour Intelligence" that's beeing floating around? Nasty RUMINT : Hope it's not Samsung I heard that they are more interested in the technology…
Dale, Stay away from AmigaWorld, shop the Electronic Mall free in CIS. I got a great price on a 500MB Quantum through a store here that no advertiser in a magzine could beat (at that time 🙂 ). 1 X CD-ROMS are cheap these days maybe you can find a…
I agree, Why wait, a increase in the wait state that is. I have 20MB in my 4000 as well. Finding a 60NS 16MB SIMM was a bugger though. Good luck on you sale.:) Shawn Silent Paw Productions
Thanks for the reply, So it works like the 4000 in some ways except for the funny RAM. However, either its late or I am confused, the Agnus reports 2MB but that doesn't appear to be what SYSINFO shows under MEMORY. Is it that the potential graphics memory can be…
3000 Memory Illusion
Message #153261
Hello all, I was using SYSINFO on my 3000 and noticed that its memory is configured a little strange and I thought I would ask the great CIS oracle for any opinion. SYSINFO reported back that I have 4MB contigous 32bit RAM and only 1MB Chip RAM. This is eventhough…

Oops Sorry, That'll teach me to speed read messages. Have you tried the shareware driver here on CIS already? Shawn Silent Paw Productions
Hello Dale, Appendix A of the 4000 manual (bible) states that the FAST RAM memory only allows SINGLE SIDED simms. as opposed to CHIP RAM that allows either single or double sided simms.:) Both exist commerically but you have to ask. The Warp Engine however doesn't care one way or…
Ok Charles but its FALCON w / mission disks still OK? Will send as soon as you say the word. Shawn
I thought the manual made it clear that 1 x 32 or 1 x 36 were both OK. What was important was that the SIMM had to be SINGLE SIDED. May be wrong though, manuals around here somewhere 🙂 Shawn Silent Paw Productions
Your in luck, The 4000 uses standard 72 pin SIMMs (SINGLE SIDED) in your FAST RAM area. These can be obtained from a variety of dealers and are not hard to find. The 4000 manual does do a fair job in this reguard. Cheers 🙂 Shawn Silent Paw Productions
One word : L O S E R S ! 🙂 Feeling a bit fiesty tonight Shawn Silent Paw Productions
Indeed, Seems the Rat has started to scurry towards the quarterdeck. I don't think their going to get much more of my business. I called in once with a simple question and the "Amiga" was always out. The other MAC technicians could point at an amiga little alone find one…

Hello Hal, I currently use ASIMCDFS 2.0 which works just fine on my 4000. If you don't have the most current version call Asimware. BTW those Creative guys have changed their recording on their tech support number to "one of the largest MAC wharehouses in California." They even only have…

Here Here!, I wish they would just peek out and say "Hello, we are the new owners and we are dedicated to the future of the Amiga." Oh I guess they don't have to say that exactly but it would at least be comforting 🙂 Shawn Silent Paw Productions
Hello, I own a small company that has been/is developing a hack to allow you to turn your 4000 into a laptop. We have been waiting for the emergence of a victor in the battle for commodore to see what their plans were for the Amiga before going ahead. You…
Hello again, SMG has the SCSI chip…You will pay for them though. I tried to get 2 Busters from them only to wait two weeks before I called SMG. Software Hut said that they too had them on back order with SMG. However, when I called the SMG parts department…
