At PsL, we have two art CD's. One is Coates Art Review of the Impressionists. The other is the Corel 1991 Art Show. The Corel CD has 1100+ designs from their 1991 contest, but it also contains the Electronic Library of Art, which contains over 1100 masterpieces of Western art.

My eyes must have blurred on me. It's 73M/83M, not 72/82. The 73M is an external drive, and the 83M is an internal.

Yes, the 72M and 82M have access times of 280ms. The "M" indicates that the drive is MPC compliant, so those without the M are not.
You can get Win/MME from IBM dealers (if you can find one who knows what you are talking about). Otherwise, you have to order a MM Kit or sound card.

Nope. The Windows and DOS versions are packaged separately. The Windows version has only a Windows access program. (At least, that is the way it is on my copy.)

Uh, that should be "the price of the external is $1000", not "$100". Last time I made a typo on here, everyone called up to order the "bargain".
I think you need to ask "what gives" to the company you bought the drive from. I have found that many resellers, and even wholesalers, are not aware of the difference between the "M" and non-M versions of the NEC's.
The internal drive kit is a much more cost-effective package, and of course it takes up less room, so if you have a half-height drive bay free, I would go for the internal. I doubt that the Toshiba has enough speed advantage to justify the additional cost of trying to…

I got the Great Cities CD, which is similar to Orient, and was unimpressed with it. IMO, it makes more sense to buy (or better yet, rent) a video tape of the same areas. That would give you better quality and quantity pictures and sounds.
I believe that the Nation Geo Mammals uses 320×200 resolution scanned photos. If so, there is nothing you can do. Ironically, the lesser known Audubon Mammals uses drawings rather than photos, but they are beautifully detailed and colored and they also have sounds.
