Hey Derek, I have a VLab Y/C board and experienced the same behavior as your board a few weeks ago. There may not be anything wrong with your board at all, but the software settings may need to be changed. Look under the CONTROL menu. Then the SCAN submenu. If…
Thanks for your reply, Tim. I may give you a call if I don't get the laser disk player working soon. I'm hoping that the Pioneer LaserDisk EX in Scala MM200 will drive it, although this particular model isn't listed. The EX is set for 4800 baud. AmigaVision has two…
Michael, Thanks. I'd appreciate the phone number to Media Innovations. As for recordable laser disk systems, I've never actually seen one. All the Amiga-laser disk systems I've seen used read-only laser disk players. But even these systems can be used in impressive ways. For instance, a couple of years ago…
#Pioneer V2200 LD
Message #41076
I bought a used Pioneer LaserDisc player from a dealer a few weeks ago. It is a model LD-V2200 that they'd had at the store for several years. They used to run Commodore's AmigaVision point of sale video off the player connected to an Amiga 2500. Also the Struggles for…
Paul, You were correct to ask Chris if he'd tried his Redmond cable connected to the Amiga, not the HamE. I'd apparently been having the same problems as Chris with my Sony 1302, but realized early on that the HamE wasn't the source of the problem. Actually the problem seemed…
Brian, I have both of the drivers you downloaded, and they work fine on my machine. The panasonic.020 prints a little faster on my 1124. Its nice to be able to chose which font to use from within ProWrite–IMO the NLQ print option with font 2 gives the best looking…
Sorry, I was half asleep when I wrote that post (night shift work). The disc is the one from HyperMedia Concepts. Roger

Thanks for the reply Jerry. I'll send in my registration ASAP with the problem report like you suggested. By the way, I've just joined the CDRom forum so I'll be dropping in there from time to time. Roger
Ben, As a Ham-E and Image Professional owner, why not just change the name to Image Professional for Ham-E, Image Professional for Firecracker etc. IMO Image Professional just sounds "classy". Roger
You might want to get the CD-ROM software from Xetec. They sell the software seperately now. Most CDTV titles run just fine, even under 2.04
Jerry, I have a Xetec CD-ROM and had been running the Time Table of Science on it just fine under the Amiga 1.3 operating system for nearly a year. It's a really nice example of multimedia. However, I updated to the 2.04 operating system a couple of weeks ago and…
Brian, I have GVP's series II scsi controller board that accepts up to 8mb of ram. It works fine. GVP also sells combo boards that have scsi controller, accellerator, and ram expansion all in one. Roger
Rodger, Try contacting MSS at: 12798 W. Forest Hills Blvd. Suite 202 West Palm Beach, FL 33414 Phone is (407) 790-0772 BBS is (407) 790-0774 They've only sent me upgrade notices two or three times in six years, and I haven't moved. Roger
I've seen the same thing happen as Peter regarding the strange ruler. It doesn't happen often, but I've seen it a few times. I thought maybe ProWrite wasn't getting along with AmiDock, but it happened with AmiDock disabled too. I restored everything from floppy and the problem hasn't come back…
WB 2.0

Hey Charles, Remember me? I bought a 2620 board, bridgeboard, harddrive etc. from you a while back. Everything works great and I eventually got my old A2000 back from Chuck. The accelerator slot is still dead in the old machine, so I gave it to my brother. Everything works fine…
Danny, You can set ProWrite to open in either interlace or noninterlace depending on your preferences. It's a fine program and I really like it a lot. New Horizons updates the program on a regular basis and you can get support here online in the New Horizons section on AmigaVendor.…
Thanks for the quick reply Ben. I found a later version of convert in the Ham E section of Amiga Arts, along with some nice pics. Still haven't found the Ham E library's yet. I'll call the number you left. By the way, I downloaded IP. It's really slick. Roger

New Ham E Owner
Message #31691
Ben, The nearest Amiga dealer is fifty miles away, so I don't make it over there very often. However, I don't like to buy by mail order very often. Anyway, I'd been interested in Ham E for a long time but was waiting to see one first before buying. Well,…
Danny: I've been using ProWrite for quite a while now and really like it. Although I haven't used the new version of Excellence, the old version couldn't keep up with my typing speed. ProWrite does. Roger
Thanks Greg. The A2620 does boot with a yellow screen so I'll pass your suggestion along to my dealer. Roger Roger
Thanks Mike. I'll let the technician at my dealers shop take care of the problem. Roger Roger
Thanks for the reply Don. It looks like my 2000 is headed for the shop. Lucky for me I held on to my 1000 for backup just in case of situations like this. Roger Roger
#A2620 Problem
Message #2733
A2620 board boots less than 10 percent of the time on my system even when Supra Wordsync hard card is disconnected from the power supply and removed from its slot. In fact this happens when all cards and peripherals are removed from the Amiga. The Amiga and all peripherals work…
A2620 Problems
Message #2732
I'm having a problem with a used A2620 accelerator board that I just bought a few days ago. Please read the next message after this one for a description of the problem. I'll be taking the board and Vu U+kV,H000 to my dealer later this week, but I'd appreciate any…
Harry, I think the CPD-1303 is a newer version of the 1302, but I'm not sure of the differences between the two. I suspect the 1303 should work as well or a little better than mine. Sorry to not be able to tell you more. Roger
Ken I've had the same problem on occasion, and believe the problem is due to line noise. It usually happens when WHAP is sending a command to Compuserve, the line noise garbles the command, and Compuserve responds with a message something like "Command not recognized, Press H for Help." The…
David, I have a Sony 1302 MultiScan with Flicker Fixer. I bought the Sony about three months before I got the Flicker Fixer. When I bought the monitor, I ordered a cable to connect the Sony 1302 to the Amiga's regular rgb port from Redmond Cable. Then, when I finally…
