[reply to # 196613, already scrolled] Back in the late Eighties I remember sitting around at a place called Software First with a Ron and an Asha about Amigas and some box called an oven or maybe a Toaster. Hmmmm…. 😉

What are the drive(s) supported by the PAR device? –Paul < Motorola Inside >
I know what might be giving you trouble, you do have the 1084S on the video port still, right? Even if it's off it will be OK. I've got the stock PS and a T4000 in a 2500. The big Nanao is a gem indeed. –Paul < Motorola Inside >
Are you having trouble with the manual? –Paul < Motorola Inside >
>>I also read on their BBS that the Video Processer should start >>shipping in SMALL quanities 1 June. What! That is a lie! They've been saying the modules will be done in a few weeks for three years! Just a bunch of liars, it'll never happen. They have one phony…
You have given me the head start I need, many thanks Jeff. –Paul < Motorola Inside >
#Lightwave with Imagine
Message #41340
I'm having a miserable time with Lightwave and a walking human. Has anyone had success doing the cycles in Imagine and then somehow compositing the resulting IFF stream into the Lightwave scene used as a backdrop? If not, are there any technical gotchas that would make it not worth trying?…

Just reformat the drive and restore with the last backup, this stuff just happens. Good Luck. –Paul < Motorola Inside >

That long! I must be caught in a time warp, I can't believe we've been muckin' around with this stuff and are still sane sane sane sane… –Paul < Motorola Inside >
Didn't we do this once before 🙂 I wish I could help, I have the Nanao F550iw and it is a dandy. It works with a FFV I for me and my Toaster with no problems. Hope you get it nailed soon. –Paul < Motorola Inside >
I got an E-mail note asking if MegageM is safe enough to do buisiness with. I thought it best that I answer here. I've met Daniel, he runs a first class, honest and fair buisiness. You'll have no trouble there. I don't work for or get any… blah blah blah…
Well, It's simple. If you want to make money this year do it. If you don't want too, then wait. If you're really get into it, you can wait till the next cool machine after the Flyer due out in 1998. By 2008 the digital video cams will be cheap…
John- it can happen with the most simple objects, 12 polys. They are perfect, all points on their own and polys unified. Some shapes are guarenteed to fail every time. –Paul < Motorola Inside >
I put the FredScripts and assigned them at the root directory and still get all scripts failing. There is only one set of assigns. How do I find out what is choking. –Paul < Motorola Inside >
I'm dragging my DeskJet out to the garage where I have the carcass of a 286 AT. Plopped a 486 into the machine and bought three I/O cards for $10 a piece. I found Word Something 5.0 on the harddrive and a PD DeskJet envelope printer. Good grief, that case…
Things are coming together now, thanks. –Paul < Motorola Inside >
I'm just plain convinced boolean subtract will not work with complex objects. It's definitely broken. I tried 65 different combinations and only two worked. –Paul < Motorola Inside >
#Fred Frumpy
Message #81599
I still can't get Fred to work. When I follow the tutorial on page 80. I follow the instructions exactly and just get error occured in arexx script SaveAsJPEG.fred.pre. That's all. How do I fix this? –Paul < Motorola Inside >
> If you choose that option…make SURE that you have whatever > disks and programs are necessary to restore the HD after a format! I've > known folks who backed up to a tape, reformatted the disk and then > discovered that the software needed to read the tape and…
Hell of an answer. Put it in the archives! –Paul < Motorola Inside >
You flipped the envelope graphic 90 degrees? Hmmm, I must be way off base, at least I was getting the address across what was suppose to be an envelope. I'll try flipping and see what happens. Do you feed the envelope before the print with the up/down arrows? Thanks for…
Well Mel, seems I have a glick somewhere (glick?). I'll try and get as close to your setup as possible. Thanks for letting me know it is indeed possible. –Paul < Motorola Inside >
How does PageStream know it's an envelope? I'll postion the envelope using the up/down arrows at the same time, then send the printed page, the printer then spits out the envelope and tries to grab a sheet from the empty paper tray. Do I need to send a non-standard page…
Thanks Michael, I'll keep at it. –Paul < Motorola Inside >
Oh yeah! Icons, them itty-bitty pictures. Now I remember what the LOADWB command was that I removed from my startup sequence is for 🙂 –Paul < Motorola Inside >
What part are you having trouble comprehending jerry? Just go back and read the messages here on CIS. Others can clue you in if you get overwhelmed, there is a lot of noise buried amongst the info. I'll give you a hint, the voluntary liquidation started in December. –Paul <…
I tried that. It just spits out the envelope then tries to print. What software and driver have you tried? –Paul < Motorola Inside >
What are icons? –Paul < Motorola Inside >
You are wrong again Jerry. Next time pay attention. Try and stick to the facts. –Paul < Motorola Inside >
This is most helpful, thankyou very much. It will work fine for my project. –Paul < Motorola Inside >
#DeskJet Envelopes
Message #143516
How can I print an envelope on a DeskJet 500? The Envelope loading function of the DJ loads it so it's right under the print head. All my printing utilities insist on sucking up a page out of the regular paper tray. –Paul < Motorola Inside >
Lets see here, you read the Annual report and then looked up Charters and Companies in the encylopedia. Armed with this information you act like a Xerox machine spitting out copies. You say the moon is fake and then give a list of the state flags as proof. Someone has…
You are wrong, you can't copyright trade secrets. –Paul < Motorola Inside >
Are you blaming this closed circle on your failures? Is this is what is motivating your diatribe. I knew you weren't just being cynical, I couldn't figure out the motive. Just because you felt left out of a priveleged few doesn't mean you have try and dump on a new…
🙂 Ants are the crawling dashes that go around the selected lines. Instead of highlighting the text, you can select it in the prefs with Xerox et al. Raid…. You're warped 🙂 –Paul < Motorola Inside >
Steve- How does the bones feature handle two seperate surfaces moving very close to each other. Like two legs on a human walking. Can you limit bomes to just a surface? –Paul < Motorola Inside >
I'm trying to make bones work on this non-boned (pant wearing) guy. The two inseams keep trying to have influence on the other's. Pretty messy actually. I'm dowwn to just finding a combination of ifluence, size and position. Butt-nekid, heh heh…. I could change the plot 🙂 –Paul < Motorola…
Dead Ants
Message #142367
Aaack! I lost my ants! I upgraded to PowerSnap 2.2a and got things set up for crawling ants. It looked pretty good. When I reset I got PowerSnap up and running but there is now no way I can get the ants back. I fiddled with all the color combinations,…
I thought I was going nuts with the taste change thing. Addicts like us are very sensitive to "cutting the product" 🙂 My spies in PepsiCo say they only changed the storage containers, but it only happened when federalis poked around some of the independant bottling companies. Was it done…
KHALID! 🙂 –Paul < Motorola Inside >
It seams to be a problem 🙂 sorry…… –Paul < Motorola Inside >
I've made the boots seperate objects so I'll try to make him kind of pigeon toed, that might help, thanks. Does anyone do this stuff in Imagine then bring it somehow into Lightwave? –Paul < Motorola Inside >
Thanks Stephen, How can I make the seam from the leg thigh to the trunk hidden. What I ended up with was something approaching ugly. I can rotate the foot within the pantleg pretty good though. What do you think? –Paul < Motorola Inside >

I'll go for that. $100 for the modules is a deal. I won't be headed down your way for a while, can we do it thru the mail? –Paul < Motorola Inside >
Good taste, tastes good! Diet Pepsi here, 12 per day Today is thirteen though 🙂 –Paul < Motorola Inside >
#No Bones About it
Message #80841
John- I'm trying to animate a human model I made. Bones is driving me nuts with the habit of picking up parts of the other leg that's suppose to be going the other way. Limited range isn't helping, it makes the leg squash in the direction of the rotation. Is…
