Jim Please tell me what you want to do, and I'll try to help. If you are trying to use HDToolbox with your GVP host adaptor, just change the tooltype to SCSI_DEVICE_NAME=gvpscsi.device. Jim Multitasking AmigaOS 3.1, Mac System 7.1, and Windows 3.11

Steve I think its in the GVP FaaaaaaaaastROM. Try typing "version gvpscsi.device" in a shell. You don't need to give a path. The system will find it. Jim Multitasking AmigaOS 3.1, Mac System 7.1, and Windows 3.11

The 020 used in the A1200 is a 32 bit processor. The 24 bit limitation is in the address bus. It can only address 16 M, rather than 4 Gig. Jim Multitasking AmigaOS 3.1, Mac System 7.1 and Windows 3.11 (in one old A2000)

Paul I used to run Quicken for MSDOS on my A2000 with a GVP 030/25MHz. It ran slow, but it was fast enough to use. I used PCTask version 2.03. Jim Multitasking AmigaOS 3.1, Mac System 7.1 and Windows 3.11 (in one old A2000)

Bruce I believe you are correct. 500's and 2000's can generate the 31kHz signal with the ECS Denise and at least a 1 meg Agnus. This is productivity mode, 640 x 480, with a maximum of 4 colors on screen. Jim Multitasking AmigaOS 3.1 and Mac System 7.1

Hi Gary The tool type is: SCSI_DEVICE_NAME=scsi.device. For example, I just changed it to 'SCSI_DEVICE_NAME=gvpscsi.device' on my GVP powered 2000, and HDToolbox recognized by hard drive. By the way, the 1200 is working great. Jim Multitasking AmigaOS 3.1 and Mac System 7.1

Paul I am using GVP's IOextender. It has two serial ports and one parallel port. The control software that comes with it can be set up to 115,200 baud. I've never used that high a setting. It doesn't even work up a sweat operating my V.32bis modem. I have the…

Tom The emulator works (at least with the five games included in the archive). I ram it on a 2000 with '030, 10 Meg RAM and Workbench 3.1. It multitasks well with the Amiga side. It has five speed settings, 50%, 100%, 150%, 200% of a 1 MHz Apple II+.…

Hello I have no compatibility problems with my G-Force '030 and system 3.1. I had to set my hard drive's SCSI address to 0, and remove the jumper controlling the drive's power-up option. The system works perfectly now. Jim Cruising on AutoPilot

GVP Tech I cured the problem. I needed to change the hard drive's SCSI address from 6 to 0. Autoboot worked perfectly after the change. My old setup had no problem booting from the drive with address 6, so I never changed it. Jim Cruising on AutoPilot

Robert I have a 2000 with GVP '030 combo accelerator. When I installed the 3.1 ROM, the computer would no longer autoboot. I had to reset the SCSI address for the hard drive from 6 to 0. Then the machine booted fine. Jim Cruising on AutoPilot

Steve The asl.library seemed to be causing the problem. I kept the suspect libraries and tested them singly. The version of asl.library that works is 37.27 (29.4.91). The version causing the trouble is 39.4 (18.8.92). I believe this second version is meant for Kickstart/Workbench 3. I am presently running 2.04.…
