Frank, Where do we find GrabIFF? Regards, Gary
Ed, Please keep us posted on the differences after running the "compression off" tape. It would be interesting to see the times for backing up the same project with, and without compression turned on. Regards, Gary

#New Features!
Message #122365
Chuck, Today I have discovered two features that I have been pushing for for months. They are not documented, so they came as a most pleasent surprise. 1> When an effect will not run, the requestor tell you HOW MANY more frames it needs! 2>If you PLAY FROM a highlighted…
how about: find last clip made…..so that you could delete a clip to free up space without reoganizing. Let's not forget….show clips in order that they were made. Regards, Gary
>> I would think that there should not be a need to always click on the HQ5 button in the record panel.
Tim, I wouldn't be too concerned with how the rest of us in the forum, react to Jerry's constant, unconstuctive and repetitive complaining. I, for one, have learned to ignore him. Regards, Gary
>>CustomStart is not working yet
Fred, Several questions that you have asked lately are all answered in the read me file on Disk one of the 4.06 set. Are you missing this? Regards, Gary
Charles, I have had far more luck running the FlyerProc from the shell. It works every time. Regards, Gary
>>hasn't seen it yet, so I assume it is delayed.
>>Someone here was selling a Video Toaster board for $450.00. If it's still available please send me an E-Mail.
Chris, You don't say if your trying to have the titles key in over video or not. If you do, you can key in, but not fade any except the first. If you can do this with a framesore (non-video background), just mkae up the entire title page in CG…
>> we might be able to offer you some really super pricing.>we've got great pricing on Flite Gear (paraphrasing)
Hank, I am producing an intructional video on this topic. I'll let you know when it's available. Regards, Gary
I second that one. Regards, Gary
Sam, I have no trouble with the Peak Exposure mode. In fact, I use it quite often. My suggestion would be to knock the exposure control down a notch or two. To increase the viewfinder contrast: Take apart the viewfinder housing (three tiny phillips head screws). You'll see a vertical…
Chuck, Thanks for clearing that up. Regards, Gary
Chuck, Good news on 4.05 (well…better news anyway). Keep us "posted". Regards, Gary
Sam, Does your L-2 have poor contrast in the viewfinder? After owning an L-1 and 2 L-2s, I have figured out how to adjust this. Regards, Gary
Tom, Is the module able to connect directly to LANC, or must the Future Video Controller be used as well? Regards, Gary
>>if you need to split a clip. Duplicate the clip, find the out point of the first clip, copy it using "c", then go to the duplicate and use "v" to copy the timecode to the in point.
Fred, The one thing that comes to my mind for saving and pasting time code values is: when you change the in point of a clip so you can see the transition without having to watch the whole thing (grrrrrr), you can then repaste in the proper start point after…
Paul, Perhaps you should get more sleep or something. Regards, Gary
Paul, Maybe your BARBER wasn't voted in the top ten. What are you talking about!?! Regards, Gary
>>In either case the deposit paid at the time of order (before June 30, 1994) was kept by your dealer
Feathered (see Tar &…) Regards, Gary
Nick, It dosen't sound like you were in on the same program as other dealers. Most of us pre-orderers put down $300 – $500 by June 30, 1994. Later, we got a $500 rebate from NewTek. Regards, Gary
Let'see…. Fiduciary, Folly, Financial, Fikle, Fate, unFortunate, Fer cryin' out loud……………… Regards, Gary
Jerry, >>And you probably also appreciate – as I do – the importance of never releasing a product before it is ready
>>I'm expecting a bugfree package in 4.05
Fred, I have long ago given up trying to make sense of the behavior of the Flyer system. Regards, Gary
Hank, Thanks for passing that along. I'm glad to hear that my lecture was of value. I've gotten a lot of very positive feedback. Regards, Gary
PMFJI Ed, I just described the same thing a few days ago. I have seen this effect on and off for quite a while. The reason why this is happening is……get ready now……THE SOFTWARE IS BUGGY!!! (Where have you been?) Sorry to be so flippant, 'just getting tired of waiting…
>>Does this include the "Save to CLip" not doing anything?
>>How's your FLyer doin?
Frank, Thanks for the dose of optimism. It's nice to have a pep talk once in a while, especially with these doomsayers all over the place (just kidding Jerry). Regards, Gary
>>,,batch these effects so that you could do them all at one time, such as at night- after hours
>>what fixes and features are there in 4.04B that were not in 4.03?
Jim, Call my friend Darrell. I think he has one for sale. (913) 625-3546 He's in Kansas. Regards, Gary
Wayne, If you're sure about the GVP board configurations, then maybe it's a Combo that I'm selling. It LOOKS identical to the G-Force board. Are there any other disinguishing features? BTW, the board comes with the HD bracket. Oh wait…….just took a closer look, it's a Combo (rev 3). Still…
