Incorrect. A VGA monitor works fine with flicker fixer equiped amigas in ALL modes. At least that has been my experience with my CPD-1302 monitor, which is a multi sysnc, but currently I am usingit in VGA mode. Of course, I have a 3000… Also, productivity mode sucks. I use…

A VGA or SuperVga monitor will not work unless you purchase an A3000, or a flicker fixer for your amiga (they cost a couple hunderd dollards). Some multisync monitors will work, the telling sign is wether they have a scan rate of 15khz. The 1084S is halfway decent… –Alan Russell

Phone/Modem Switch Message #47955
From: Alan Russell Amiga User Forum · Communications February 2, 1992 6:59 PM
I want to run a BBS, but I hate the phone company. I was looking at the switchs that listen for a modem carrier, and then switch the phone call to the modem. Do they work? Do they work with all modem carriers (incl. V32/V32bis/HST)? Or is their just one…

You are all wrong. This is an emulator called IBEM. And the demo can be downloaded from many good amiga BBS's. It does run real slow, about XT speed on a Amiga 3000.. So to all of you who say it don't exist.. It does.. The demo version only operates…

You could, of course, use a bridge board and then any one of the twinax adapters. Or you could add more Async Comm Ports to your S/36 (they should be cheap since the S/36 is pretty old), or you can purchase a Protocol Convertor (from Black box, among others) to…

From: Alan Russell Amiga Vendor Forum · NewTek January 7, 1992 11:10 AM
