Thanks for the suggestion, man, I'll give it some consideration.
Cool! Dude! Thanks for the tip! What type of dual port video card you guys use?
That's too bad, since I have a 17", and plan to get another 21" soon. I just thought the addition of dual screen will be really helpful to some extreme people.
#MAX Dual Screen
Message #196514
Max is really cool, and NT kicks ass. I'm really anticipating the 3D Glint family of powerful chips, and Open GL stuff. But… I'm just wondering, will MAX support the option of Dual Screen display? Like with one screen of commands, such as Material Editors, Track View, Core Components, and…
Thanks, Dave.
Tom: Noise 2 is actually different than Noise. Noise 2 uses a completely different function, which is none periodic, compare to the less organic looking Noise.
Yep, I rendered LenzFX2 using Field Rendering, and output through my PVR to video, and it somewhat looked weired. Anyway, most of the time, I actually trun field rendering off when outputting to video, and there are really no difference, unless big camera movements are involved.
Hi, Dean, I mainly use 3D Studio, so here is my suggestion to doing this elsctricity text thing. You can use the Imagine FX (from Sheriber) IPAS, which includes a lightin AXP. You can simply move the AXP accross the top of the letters to create the electircal line effect.…
#Animator Studio1.1 in NT
Message #195398
I just got the Animator STudio 1.1 upgrade for Win95. I'm just wondering, is 1.1 also supose to run under NT?
No problem. I'm glad I could help in some way.

OK, I guess I'd better spend the extra $450 then for the XP.
Thanks for the suggestion. I use PVR, and do video output sometimes. I'm also planning to get the Toshiba Trinton, the 20 inch monitor display.
Thanks for you help.
I guess you used the Glow By Object. LenzFX2 will not work with AXP objects. One way to get around it, is maybe by using Alpha channels.
yep, I did one of the logo things using melt. What I did was, first, loft the letter with high path settings. Now the sides for the letter are evenly complex. Then I use grid.pxp to create a grid box, and then use the grid I made, and intersect the…
Doug, did you also notice that LenzFX2 can't not open the file ROTATE.CEL when you try to load the LZF files like evileyes.lzf, and torch1.lzf?
LenzFX rotate.cel
Message #195096
I just upgraded LenzFX2 from version 1.3. When I tried to load a couple of LZF file, like evileyes, torch1, and I open up Flare, I get the following error message can't open "c:\drived\3ds4\process\lenzfx\rotate.cel" I have no clue where the directory /drived pop in. Should't it be "c:\3ds4\process\lenzfx\rotate.cel"? It's looking…
LeznFX 2missing CEL
Message #195093
I was trying to load the LenzFX LZF sample files, and a couple of them reported that it couldn't fine ROTATE.CEL. Now where is it?
Ok, I'll look into that. Thanks.
I agree with you. Maybe they should associate the load option with the image brower. But still, being able to see all the gradients you are about to load is important.
Yep, dude, that's exactlly what I think! I couldn't agree with you any more! I'll be getting a 21" by January. I'm thinking about the NEC XE21, or XP. Any suggestions?

Yep, just got it today. It's really good, I like it a lot. Also, besides the fact that the icom bitmap is missing in the Glow Inferno, when I tried to load up a couple of sample LZF, it prompts me that ROTATE.CEL could no be found. I'm upgrading from…
My monitor is really good. And it performs .26 mm up to 1028 by 1024. But the things is, Max got some may ICONs, and some may feature, it's not that my monitor is not clear. It's crisp and sharp, it's just 1024 x 768 with Max, everything seems so…
Yep, brother, I feel the same way. I already bought NT. Beside the extra ram and processing power people are concerning, most people didn't realize that Max will also need a large monitor. I think I need a 21". I loaded up the sample 1024 x 768 Max files to…
yep, dude, it's shipping now, you can make your order.
Dude, I'm getting my LenzFX 2 with Inferno tomorrow too. It's good to hear from you that this package is cool, but still kind of worries me about the little problems you are having. So please info me if you get anything back from Digimation. Thanks, dude.
HI, 3DS worked under NT, but not very impressive. I just got Win95, and 3DS runs great under it. I'm also going to install NT again over 95, so I can have a dual boot to either 95 or NT. OK, I got the two cool operating system going now,…
That's cool, stick with what you are best, and I will be someone one day! Follow your dreams! You'll get big bucks!
Thanks very much, now I'm going to run 3DS under NT, and screw my computer UP! Yeah!!!!!

#3DS in NT
Message #186426
Hi, Jonas, I was reading about the '3DS working in NT' message from Maritn Foster. I recently read the latest aritcle from Planet STudio, which says that there is an unoffcial way to use 3Ds inside NT, but you need a special Rainbow Driver in order for NT to access…
Did you check the Continouity setting? This should be a motion over shoot, try set Continouity to 0 between the key frames that you want your object to hold still. Hope I helped.
NT will automatically give you a triple boot option, so you simply select Dos, Win95, or NT.
YOu bet !!!! YOu just spoke my heart out!!!! Also, I just purchased NT 3.51, god, it's awesome!!!!! It has great hardware support, the installation is easy, and it migrated everything perfectly from windows!!!! All my Window's application run so much better!!! Even my AOL, Compuserve run almost twice as…
#World Builder IPAS
Message #185921
Thanks for you info. But I don't consider getting any IPAS for R4 any more. I'm waiting for Max to come out, and I plan to get the 32 bit Core Components only in the future.
You are rignt. But, you see, I'm the kind of person who buys IPAS even there is no project that needs it. Let's just say I'm a "collector". I guess this World Builder will not be on my collect list for a while. Ha, some people like me…..

Good for you, dude. Even though it's expensive, it is worth the money. I'l still waiting to get my PVR, 21 " monitor… too many things on my list. The World Builder will drop price for sure, especially then 32-bit take over. I bet in half a year or so,…
You bet!!! Hope our dreams come true, and we'll still have some pocket change for hourselves.
Alright! Hope to meet again.

Thank you, Alan. Now you make me feel like….. I can finally enjoy sleep again.
Thanks man, you are cool, you rock. For me, I'll be getting Max as soon as it comes out. Now I'm still struggling, trying to get the PVR, extra 32 megs of ram, and hopefully a 21" monitor. God, I'm putting all my saving on these stuff!! Hope Max is…
Thanks for you info, Neil!! I curently have LenzFX. But I'm not sure if Digimation is going out with any updates of its current IPAS to 3DS MAX. I have most of their IPAS, Like Mirage, Bubbles, Magic, LenzFX, Refraction, Camera Map… I'm startint to get worried.

Now is there anybody who has some info on this new, Digimation product called INFERNO?
Actually, now you can get the World Build for $895!!

Message #183867
You seen, I agree with you. But nobody is going to pay that kind of money for a not useful, just terrain generator. It will probably only appeal to big company like Sierra, or movie production. My previous statements were spoken for the vast, low budget production house, and freelancers…
Hi, Michael, one thing I will be glad to tell you is that 3DS works better in Win95. It's a fact, one of my friend being using 3DS under win95, and it runs great.

Did I m4 S12/Take 5/Want Ads 06-Aug-95 02:57:33 Hi, everybody, I guess lot of you out there have heard of the upcoming World Builder by Digimation. I've read many articals about it, yes, I admit, it's very attractive, and very powerful. It's a new generation of terrain builder. But, the…
Mike, thanks for your reply. I have heard of Poser, and the fact it's only for Mac pissed me off. Digimation should really seriouslly condisder making a body generator, as well as many usefull motion built in, such as walking, sitting, running… Why can't people put some thoughts before they…
Tom, I think Yost group is right, you have to spend a lot more time to master the basics. However, if you want to get a usefull IPAS, I would strongly suggest LenzFX from Digimation, since this IPAS is easy to use, and produce awesome effects. In you situation, you…
