Carl, Thanks for the information. I am happy to say that it turns out the printing element of my Primera was *not* faulty. I had rotated a very large image in ImageFX2 and was attempting to print it. Somehow the simple 90 degree rotation had introduced a streak-like artifact into…
Look in our Printer Drivers library for the Canon printer driver disk, download and unpack it, and install the driver. —Betty
Tom… I had the same problem and had to send the printer back. Mine was done under warranty, however, so I don't know how much it will cost you. It is one of the heating elements that fails. :^( ..Carl

I have the original Primera color printer. i am now getting a streak down each color print even after thoroughly cleaning the print head and insides of the printer. According to the manual, this is an indication that I need a print head replacement. Has anyone actually changed the print…
I'd probably go Canon since I have a friend who owns a store, that can distribute their stuff (actually my ex-boss, has an office supply store) so I could get Canon, Brother, Star stuff a lot cheaper than Epson (20-35% off!). My main question is driver support: the OS has…
Well, I personaly prefer the 600e over the BJC 4000. Similar, I prefer the BJC 610 over the BJC4100. But it all depends on you personal taste. Currently, I do think the BJC 610 is a very good deal. It is offering the reliability of the 600e with 720 dpi…

Peter, Digita Print Manager can only be used with Digita products. The drivers from Digita Print Manager are from Studio I (we now ship Studio II). So don't try to print from any non-Digita product as this will not work. The driver will refuse to work… If you want the…
Hi Wolf! Danke fur Deine Antwort! Ich verwende WB 3.1, mus aber gestehen, das ich noch nie versucht habe mit dem Deskjet – Treiber, am Laserjet zu drucken – werd'ich ausprobieren. VieleGruse aus Wien, Anton
I can remember a note that CMD had a problem with the Commo HP Laserjet driver… but I thought this only applied to a very very old WB version… WB 3.0 should work… and why not simply print to the Laserjet using the Deskjet driver. In most cases this should…

Can anyone help? I have an A1200 with Overdrive Hard Drive 4mb fast ram, MUI, Autopilot, Wordworth 3.1SE, PPaint, and have just purchased & installed an HP DeskJet 600 Printer using Digita Print Manager's HP Deskjet 550 driver (no 600 driver available?). I have no problems printing from Wordworth, but…

Hi Leonard! First of all, many thanks for your mail! To my problem: I use the CMD file on a DOS-formatet disk on a IBM-clone. I print it with the command 'copy cmd lpt1:'. It works fine with HP Deskjets, but I've no luck with HP Laserjet 4 (600dpi). I…
Anton, I use CMD to redirect printed output from Pagestream3 and PPage and oters all the time without problems. Are you using the correct printer driver? What is the command you are using? Both to capture the data (ie the CMD command and the command to transfer to the printer,…
I know some users do use Studio's SetupPJL program with Epson printers. So it seems, that the Epson printers are pretty compatible. However, I can't remember wich Epson printer was used and what PJL settings are supported by the Epson. At least it seems to work for the basic SetupPJL…
Sorry, I don't have their address as I usualy work with different departments. I would suggest you look into your printer manual. Often there is a list of all major subsideiaries. If everything fails, you can get the disk from me for $15(cash). But why not simply downloading the disk…

I've a problem to print a 'CMD'- file on a HP Laserjet 4: I use the CMD command on my A1200 to print files on the printers at work. It doesn't make a problem on the HP Deskjet. But on the Laserjet I just get a little part of the…

Studio for $150? Well, I'm sure if you look at various mail orders, you might get it for nearly half the price. The RRP of Studio is DM 135 ($95) in most countries and often things are cheaper at mail order companies. At least I have seen US ads for…

Who's using LJ-5MP?
Message #214942
Studio does support the 5MP. Basicly, the 5MP is pretty much the same as all other LJ5xx or LJ4xx printers. The major difference as far as drivers are concerned are the supported PJL commands for setting up the printer.

You can get the Panasonic driver disk here on CIS in the AmigaUser library. Sorry, I don't know the exact file name. The disk does include a big fully featured driver for the 2123. In case you can't find it, contact Panasonic. The disk was developed by me for Panasonic…

Dan, What files did you end up with after the extraction? One of them should be the printer driver that should be moved to your SYS:Devs/Printers drawer. Hank Videology, Inc Where you always get P.O.M.P. and Service under all circumstances
Lieven: I had an ancient Apple LaserWriter connected to my A2000 via the serial port (for PostScript output). 1. You need a null modem cable. 2. Serial port out of the Amiga 3. Set the Amiga's serial prefs: Xon/Xoff; No Parity; 9600, 8bits/char; 1 stop bit. I don't have the…

It pretty much sounds like you are having a serious hardware problem. I assume you have problems with your printer cable or CIA chips. The hardware checked out fine. On the manual try to find a new Amiga user have them install your software and write down all the questions…
Andre, Thanks, but I actually tried just printing to the postscript and it didn't work. The sleepy sign came on as if it were working then just disappeared, and nothing came out of the printer. Usually, the light blinks on the printer indicating it's getting a signal, but it didn't.…
Hi Jeff, You don't need a LaserWriter driver… Just print to PostScript. In ProPage click on the "SER:" button to send it to the serial port. You can change the ProPage "Tooltype" so it defaults to the SER: port. Change "PSOUTPUT=PAR" to "PSOUTPUT=SER". / / / //ANDRE

#Need LAserWriter driver
Message #209952
Anyone know where I could find an Apple LaserWriter driver? If, so how would I then get into my preferences list? thanks.
Lieven, I'll try a serial cable today. If it works, great, if not I'll just keep my old LaserJet around and plug it in when I need it. Thanks for the info. jeff
Jeff, serial to serial might work, but I've read that apple-printers are somewhat different than we know on the amiga-platform. Postscript is postscript, sure enough, but there must be some handshaking between the printer and the computer. Apple's have Appletalk instead of centronics interfaces, should your printer have this, then…

Hmmm, thanks for responding, but does that mean I cannot connect the Mac printer directly to my Amiga, let's say serial to serial? And if I do print to a file, I assume that would have to go out on a floppy, which would create problems since I am dealing…
Jeff, you can print postscript to a file, transfer these to the Mac and print them from there. A nice thing about postscript is that it's the same on all platforms. . – Lieven Lema

Sorry Betty, but I still think you understood something wrong. I don't know any major application on the Amiga doing what you want. If applications print text and gfx on the same page, they use the printers gfx mode for everything including text. So, here you don't have any problems.…
