Did you say $5 per HOUR for the 900 number? Most of them charge by the minute – and at $5 a MINUTE, boy, would that ever be costly!! $5 an hour is cheaper than long distance calls, though. Betty

I don't really object to it either to be honest. I think it will keep the flow of calls who are calling to find out how to put a picture on the screen to a minimum as that is clearly documented in the manual. -mark=

[ continuation ] marginal speed improvements and a bit more disk space. It also makes these floppies harder to read to those who do not have 2.0 or want to mess with mounting a FFS floppy under 1.3. Video Computer Resources has gone into Beta testing with our Point-of-Sale software.…

I did get a few answers and a few scratches on the head. I called CATS today. In case you folks were not aware, Kathy Godfrey is the contact person at Commodore for bugs in AmigaVision. John Campbell is her immediate supervisor, (in charge of the AmigaVision 2.0 project with…

Thanks, Bob. I knew about the DiskChange, and I've heard a bit about the RigidDiskBlock, but its purpose had passed me by. That makes lots of sense, and I had wondered what had changed that made the difference. The thing I keep wondering about is that I read a great…

Don, I think I found a second Qmouse caused or aggravated problem; for a long time now, the 'software' clock on my Ami (as shown by Screenx or whap) has gained about one minute per one hour of real time elapsed. I've just noticed that with Qmouse's screen shuffler turned…

I know someone who claims he managed to alter the mac system font. It wasn't a pretty sight. It took a lot of hacking directly into the system. Of course, I try not to follow the Macintrash line too much! 8) — Ethan

Make sure that you can upload it here – C= is very tight about uploading their stuff to places other than Bix. In any case, SetPatch2.0 should more or less do the trick for ya, but you should eventually get the latest from C=. -Mike

36.143 is the latest at the moment. From what I've heard, it fixes some file system bugs, and a few other things. There's a SetPatch2.0 floating around which fixes most of the 36.141 problems, but I'm not sure how you'd get that (call C=, I suppose). -Mike

Thanks for the info, I will check with my dealer and see what happens. But it does seem CBM should mail out information on updates since most of us do register our machines when we send in the warranty cards.

John, I'm not sure why that problem occurs. It's fairly common, several folks have reported it. And I've noted nothing in common other than it's opening the color window that causes problems. I've never seen it occur the other way around (color ok, mono messed up). Don

In other words, you already own the mathffp.library objects. They are in your Amiga's ROM. The mathffp.library is documented in the ROM Kernel Library, page 549ff. What are you trying to accomplish, and in what language? THol() { cout

John, RAD: has one distinct advantage over vd0:…under AmigaDOS v1.3 and above, you can boot FROM RAD: rather than a hard drive or floppy drive. To do this, you need an A1000 with 1.3 KS, or an A2000 or 500 with the 1.3 ROM installled. Don
