Jason, would a magic wand work with ER? 'Cos you are vector based and I've only seen wands in pixel based programs like Photoshop! In ER you are surely putting vector lines ontop of the picture so as to manipulate it rather than actually selecting a few pixels to make…

Hi Everyone! Sneak Preview Time!!! I was given word yesterday that three movies slated for near-term release have featured Elastic Reality produced effects… These are (in no particular order): Outpost, The Hunted, and Last Gasp. Last Gasp, I'm told, has Robert Patrick in it. I don't know about the rest.…

What resolution did you out put the.avi as? If you dod something other than 320×240 or 160×120, chances are it will be unplayable – this is a cross between the compression codecs and media player problem that causes odd sized .avis to be unplayable. Chris Edgin ERI tech.

Sam, Grainy output could be coming from several places. 1) the video compressor you're using is likely the largest culpret. Many of them compress video by discarding individual pixel's values to create blocks of the same color which compress better. The cinepak and indeo encoders (at their highest quality settings)…

Am I missing something? Whenever I render a movie, the quality is really bad. Both the start and finish frames, and everything in between are very blocky/grainy. I mean the morph's are excellent, but they just don't look professional quality. Any help on settings (what and where) or if this…

Rico, The director of Stargate wanted to achieve a mechanical look to the helmet effect…standard morphing as it existed early last year could not create this effect.
