Mike, try it without the IPAS- in the shaper, draw the glass with all the cracks where you want them. Extrude the plane as individual pieces with adjacent borders on all the cracks. Select the surface faces and map them with the desired material. Could probably use automatic reflection mapping…

Ed, I found your dominoes question to very interesting, so I try working on the puzzel. As you did I first tried to do it in KeyFactory, but that just got me very frustrated. So I decided to write my own routine in Keyscript. I got it to work, but…
Martin, Thanks for the response. Your technique will definitely work, the problem is we have to (nearly) match hundreds of keyframes. We are doing a sort of homebrewed motion capture translation of a videotaped actor to an animated character. We shot an actor doing a series of moves against bluescreen…

Hey Marc! Thanks for the info. I guessed it to be Alias stuff. Used to work on Alias ver. 2 awhile back in my video production days. I see stuff like that and I have to shake off the feeling that I've done NOTHING in the computer graphics and animation…

Jose: Seems that it's a problem with TB cards. I have on also and everytime I load an audio clip in the timeline and it's graphical display exceeds the timeline windows, Premiere crashes. But this has nothing to do with my PAR (that only runs under WIN 3.11) and is…
Re: patch modeler soon Is that for Release 4 only, or will R3 run it as well? Thanks in advance, Garu
David, long time, no type! good to hear from ya! thanks so much for your comments. >>By telling people "how" you did something, and then letting those people create their own meshes to try out the trick in question, you are in effect, killing two birds with one (fractalized) stone.

I am very interested in this IPAS routine that makes stuff blow up. Could anyone tell me who to buy it from? -Kai
I'm having problems with my PVR and Win95. I have the Win95 drivers for the PVR and I'm using Premiere. When I open a clip in Premiere that has no audio associated with it, it works fine. But when I have audio with my PVR avi, the JOG dial usage…

If we are registered 3DS4 owners, how will we get 3D Surfer? Is it sent to us, made available for download, or what?
Stephen, I don't like having to fork over cash for every meeting. A seminar….that's different. The So Cal group is pretty solid thanks to Bob. I'll see ya there. Sanford

Martin Thank you again for sending me your ENT TOOLS. I was wondering if you might be interested in working with me to bring to life some ideas I have for IPAS routines. I don't have near enough programing ability to work on these myself ( I still have trouble…

#DPS PHONE?
Message #197138
Anyone know how I can get a hold of some kind of tech support from DPS? The BBS isn't very good, and the phone numbers that are listed in the adds don't get you to anything but a recording. Any other phone numbers?

FSEP & FINT
Message #197090
I've downloaded FSEP.I3D and FINT.I3D. It seems to be a very useful plug-ins, but can anyone tell me how I use it? I loaded it in keyscript but it brings an error message. Thanks, Francisco.
>> I hope they fix this one in Version 2.01. I was expecting correctly working fields in 2.00.

Sanford, It may be that at least one of the reasons for the demise of the LA group was their dues/fees. They probably had to charge to pay for the meeting space, but I seem to recall it was like $10 at the door for first-timers, or something like that,…
Hi Again, Of course all your points are valid. I was imprecise in my use of the terms 'approximation' and 'valid at'. Thanks. We expected that you would be stronger in mathematics than those of us who are 'home grown', and it's been a LONG time since I actually had…
#Breaking glass w/Explode
Message #197044
I'm trying to do something I thought would be relatively simple using Yost #4's "Explode" AXP IPAS routine: shatter a portion of a piece of glass as if it were hit by a rock, and retain realistic gravity and obtain pieces that are of various sizes to simulate how a…
