Greg, You need an icon, and an FREF, and a BNDL resource, and you need to set the bundle bit. The easiest way to do this is to copy the icon, FREF, and BNDL out of an existing application into your application, then edit the icon and rebuild the desktop.

The user has to be able to enter a complex expression, (cos(sin(x^(2^log(x)))) or something like that, and I'm too lazy to figure out an algorithm to analyze it.
