#Solar System Message #12163
Stephen, I really enjoyed NITEFLIT.JPG. I like the quasi real/surreal/cartoon look about it. Some great work in there, especially the spiral galaxy. Speaking of which, nice segue eh? I looked at the tutorial you posted about how you created that spiral galaxy/solar system. Nice job on the tutorial…the inline images…

#12153 #Imagine- dongle? Message #12161
Victor, Imagine has _no_ dongle. Like you, I detest them…but put up with them when I have to. The programs that I know of that have dongles are 3DS, Animation Master, LightWave. There may be others that I don't know about yet. -GreG

Chris, I don't have Win95 installed, so I can only show you a portion of my CONFIG.SYS as I use it. I know others have been able to run Imagine with a DOS BOOT in Win95, hopefully they will chime in. Here are the relevant portions of my config.sys that…

>> Cheesey and blocky but still yet, mine!!! Doug, Glad you got it going! Bones just get easier from here now. Well….mostly. Sometimes ya gotta think ahead about how the bones should be defined before you actually build the object, usually when you have a complicated section of geometry. -GreG

#12002 #LOAD DXF Message #12005
Darin, The robust DXF import/export is not documented in the manual because it was introduced in Imagine 3.1. To load in a DXF object that has seperate entities check the following boxes only: NEW ENTITY -> NEW OBJECT LAYER CHANGE -> NEW OBJECT COLOR CHANGE -> NEW OBJECT Note, that…

#11783 Too many edges? Message #11793
Tim, I've asked for it a couple of times in the past but the need for a higher or no limit altogether, for me anyways, has increased. I know that they're planning it, I just hope it happens. -GreG

Ted, The best object conversion software I've seen so far is InterChange from Syndesis Corp. It can convert between about 30 different formats, maintaining hierarchies and object attributes when it can. IC is a commercial product, if you'd like further information about it you can contact John Foust/Syndesis at 76004,1763.…

>> Is that the right way to do it? James, Basically yes. If you want object1 to morph into object2 over 30 frames, you'd place object1 in frame1, and object2 in frames 2-30. This will cause it to morph. >> Would you happen to know how to figure how many…

So that spark was done in Imagine with objects? Wow! I though it may have been post-processed! Ummm…this may be asking a lot, but do you think you could upload the spark objects so that we can disect it and learn from it? If not, that's O.K. too, I could…

#11293 Too many edges? Message #11337
Rich, Imagine _currently_ has an edge limit for each object. I believe it's 32K edges per object. The only thing to do is to reduce the point count of the objects in order to be able to join them. I do have to ask though, is the head object extremely…
