They really aren't equal. The Amiga is a far more capable machine, with its multi-tasking operating system. There is far more serious software available for the Amiga. The only reason I can see buying the ST is if you're into music, though the Amiga can handle music just as well…

The easiest way is to invoke TextCraft from CLI: 1> textcraft file_name where "file_name" is the name of your text file. Then you can save it as a standard TextCraft file for future editing or save it again as plain text.

I'm afraid I disagree with the Byte article. I work in assembly language on both machines and the Amiga places a much greater burden on the programmer than the Mac. For example, the Amiga makes you do your own list management, whereas the Mac handles lists (in particular, for menus)…
