Your probably right but I would definitely prefer color. I know it would cost more but an Amiga without color just doesn't seem right to me. I'd still buy a monochrome version but I wouldn't like it as much.
Mine too. I am dying to get my hands on one. I told my dealer that if C= would release a laptop I would be the first in line to buy it.
#EPU Use???

This Times Two product you are talking about sounds sorta like a PerStor controller for the IBM. I have had experience with the PerStor controller and would not recommend it to anyone. It killed alot of drives on our BBS in short order and once we replaced it with a…
I have it working fine with my A3000/25 and my CDTV. What kind of problems are you having?
Ok, thanks. I should be sending the form in very soon. Can't wait to get started in the program.
Which Developer program do you have to be signed up for to get the "Developer CD" that you talked about. I am about to register and would love to get a copy of this CD.
Nah, its those southerners trying to rush home to get out of the snow and ice. The yankees are the ones taking their time. 🙂
#Best Amiga Tips Arrived!
Message #92776
I don't know about that. My brother used to be a police officer for the city of Atlanta and he said that it was really crazy when it snowed. He said nobody would slow down and then would hit a patch of ice and slide all over the place. Or…
And to think we can do more than Windows allows you to do in 512K. What's wrong with this picture?
Well the last word I got from Microsoft was 8 meg. I will have to check with one of our beta testers and see what the requirement is. I do know that the beta version comes on CD-ROM.
Yeah, you can use it the way you say but I would much rather have a color notebook/portable. I think carrying around an A500/A600/A1200 with a color display or using a TV just makes the Amiga look cheap. We need a nice high quality portable machine. I would be the…

Greg, I've heard metion of 4, or even 6 and 8 meg minimum acceptable RAM available for NT, but I've never heard a figure as high as 32 meg being the minimum requirement. 32 Meg of diskspace for all the files, drivers, etc perhaps…but 32 meg of RAM…that's obscene. Windows…
If you want to hook into a Novell Network Oxxi offers an Amiga Client software package that will allow you to do this. I would recommend you contact them for more information.
They (PCWeek) cover uses of computers in business and industry. They guy that wrote the article wanted more information and I told him about virtuality and how the Amiga is being used for VR in the training for the M1-(A) Abrahms tanks. Take a jump over and look at the…
On another subject. I have been over in the PCWeeks forum talking about how little Amiga coverage they have. Would be nice to have some help but we need to stay friendly or they will just ignore us. So stop over a post some pro Amiga messages and help me…
I downloaded your program SFMT.ARC and ran it in the morning before I went to work and lo and behold when I got home it was done. I then tried HDToolBox and it only took 20 minutes to low-level the drive. Thanks for you help!
Thanks, I'll download the file and try it out. Hey you don't have to worry about formatting the wrong drive cause you have a backup right!
I understand that. I know the drive is SCSI! I was just wondering if maybe THIS drive behaved like IDE in the fact that you might not be able to low level format the hard drive. I am 100% sure it is a SCSI drive. If that was not clear…
I just took the case apart changed the jumpers to the way you specified and tried to low-level format the drive again but to no avail. I let it sit there for quite awhile and I couldn't even hear the drive working. I think it ran for about 30 mins…
Well I'll let the first one go since I told you what the drive reported in another message. As for the drive activity LED, ok I'll buy that but it also doesn't come on when doing a verify data on the drive either. Thanks for the information about the drive…
Hmm, I'll have to take it apart and find out. How should they be set? I think the TermPower is coming from the SCSI bus not the drive power. Sorry about all the questions.
BTW, this is what HDToolbox read from the drive: 1326 – Cylinders 1 – Head 483 – Blocks per Track 483 – Blocks per Cylinder ————————– 312 – Megabytes It still doesn't work. Help!!!
Yes, I believe I did move it one to the left. I think if you look on the circuit board of the drive it has the numbers above the pins. As for the jumper on the motherboard it is out in the open but fairly close to the equipment platform.…
Well the reason I say it just sits there is because when I formatted by Quantum at least the drive light was on. With this one the drive light doesn't stay on. It comes on for a few seconds then goes off. As for the cylinders information I got that…
#Help with HD Install
Message #84323
I am having some trouble low-level formatting a new hard drive I just got. Actually it is an older hard drive that I saved from the scrap heap. This is a 300 Meg drive and seems to work fine but here is the problem. I enter the information into HDToolbox…
You will need to change a jumper on your A3000 motherboard. I forget which number it is but it is above one of the custom chips. Also you will need to change the drive id of the old low density drive to drive 1 instead of drive 0. Then just…
Well let me know before you get rid of the SX64. I know someone that is looking for one. Heck, I might even buy it myself.
Well I don't know what you mean by 'adustments' as the information should be pretty generic unless you are trying to run an IBM program on an Amiga then that just won't work. As for the software, I kinda took that for granted that you would need the interface software…
Well my thought on this and I don't know is I wonder if you could use one of the new PICMIA cards for a PC in the Amiga PCMIA (whatever those letters are) slot. If you can then you have just about any network interface that you would want. Anyone…
Which basically means that Newtek sent you an Amiga 2000 and a Video Toaster. That other box sitting next to your PC is really an Amiga 2000. Just thought I'd let you know…

Yeah, I know on the Prevue Guide in my area (Pittsburgh, PA) they use Amigas. I found this out one day while flipping throught the channels and saw a flashing red GURU box on the top of the screen. I wonder if they use more than one Amiga for the…
Thanks for the reply. I talked to someone last night and they told me I had to get the 1.3 or 1.4 disk for bbses and that will fix my problem. Thanks for the help. Frank
Well I am having a problem reading the Hypermedia CD ROM disk and maybe someone can help me. I just bought a CD-ROM drive and the Fred Fish Disk and want to put it online for my users to download. Now comes the problem. I am running the bbs on…

Sounds good. What kind of applications are you running on the Amigas? Yeah, if we get one we will be hooking it to a PC network too. I've always said the only good use for a PC is running a BBS or being a file server. The Amiga would make…
Yeah, you might be right, they may only sell 10 but they might also sell alot more than that. Also how do you say the shell is only for the ARCNET board, it doesn't matter to the software (or shouldn't matter) what type of NIC it is using. If they…
Novell Netware, the version doesn't really matter…
A Token Ring NIC for the Amiga would not be a waste of time. Where I work we use a Token Ring network and I am trying to get an Amiga in here to do some multimedia stuff they are talking about doing. It would be nice to be able…
