Mark, that problem doesn't sound familiar to me. Are you using the NewTek Digi-View adaptor? Or just a plain gender changer? There is a difference between the two! If you are using the Newtek adaptor, you may want to contact NewTek directly. GreG
Sorry Don, I don't think I proved your point….it took a lot of thought to GUESS that it meant send to printer. I still wasn't sure but I guessed nonetheless. It could easily mean "mark this page". I'm not really against the standardization of the keys, but all this BS…
Robert, I know what you mean…..but it has to be done. 🙂
Don, I have no idea what it means. Could it be….send to printer? Nevertheless, I'd love to see the docs for that terminal, little pictures all over the place and all. I'll stick with "Press RETURN", rather than "Press the key with the squigly lines on it" GreG
George, if you can display the RLE graphic on your amiga then you can use SAVIFF.ARC from LIB 16 to grab it as an IFF file. GreG
Vic, Ok…..so if all the keyboards have arrows on the Backspace, on the tab, on the shift keys and on te Return key, how do you tell someone to hit return? "Enter te desired choice, then press the key with the arrow that looks like a backwards L" 🙂 GreG

Robert, I strongly recommend upgrading to Dpaint II. It offers many many new features over Dpaint I. You will not regret it! GreG
Yep, CHIP prices are incredibly high. Not much you can do but wait. You may be able to fit 512 frames in a rather small amount of memory, but that depends on the the content of each frame. You have to remember that most of these programs use a delta…

Mark, not sure what the Max that the Amiga can handle is. I'd rather not hedge my bet and guess as to what it is. GreG

Douglas, as Stan noticed, it seems like you are short on CHIP mem. Use the PLAYER program without using SIlver..see if that helps. BTW, how much mem do you have? GreG
Louis……it's on the way. SOrry for the delay, but after the CO I got several Uploads to LIB16 and LIB 6. I need to check all before they are made public. GreG
Douglas, your message had some noise in it, but I think I got the gist of what you are experiencing. Ok, thinking back to Version 1.1x…. Ok, you generated 17 CELLS. After they were generated, an asterisk appeared in each CELL. OK so far? Then, you selected all the CELLS…
John, tell ya what……I just got a recent version of Turbo (I am a beta tester) that was converted to integer from floating point math. Seems to me like they are well on the way to completeing a float version.

Douglas, Impulse has been busy lately adding more features and converting Turbo Silver to floating point arithmetic. So yes, when 1.3 comes out, and if you have a math coprocessor, there will be a version of Turbo Silver that will take advantage of it. I you like, drop by this…

Philip, Keith suggested a way to view MAC pictures on the Amiga and then SAVE that displayed picture in IFF format. The files you will need can be found in LIB 16. They are MACVU2.ARC, MVUPAT.ARC, and SAVEIF.ARC. Also suggested to you was the GIF format. That would be ideal…

Paul, thats a known bug in Dpaint. There is noting you can do about it..ARE YOU LISTENING EA?? How about a FIX!? All I can suggest is that you break up your font directory into several smaller directories. Then you can assign the directory you want to be the current…

Paul, the messages I saw were posted many many moons ago. I don't have any more info on this, other than that it's not possible to hook it up. Good luck.

Robert, 1.1 had that problem. Stange thing is that some people never encountered it, others always did! Nevertheless, it has been corrected in Turbo Silver. Don't fret though, if reload 1.1 and load in the associated SCRipt file, you will be able to view the Picture that was Generated.

Message #125654
Thank you for such a usefull utility as MakeAnim!!! I am sure you have made many people VERY happy! For those wondering what MakeAnim is, it is a utility to compress seperate IFF frames into ANIM format. It can be found in DL16 as MAKEAN.ARC

Sounds to me like something a developer mentioned to me. This may not be the same thing tough. With that in mind, wat I have heard about is a 14Mhz 68000 with a daughterboard that has room for a math coprocessor. The price mentioned to me was under $200. It…

Silver
Message #125475
Robert, Glad to hear you are pleased with Silver. Expect even more freedom with Turbo Silver. With it you are no longer limited to the primitives that are supplied. You will have full control over points, faces, objects, groups and a whole lot more….not to mention true refraction of light…
I know of no such utility Steve. The majro problem is the MAC's variable speed drives.

John, I haven't noticed this with anything else. Nor have I heard of anything else showing the same problems. The odd part is that Silver will run fine on a "clean" system (Dpaint free), but once Dpaint is run at any time (before, {_during or after) the LOCK-UP occurs. Also,…

John, you cannot get infeted by a virus by downloading software, and un-arcing it. We test all software before making it public, and also check to see that it doesn't infect the system with a virus. However, there is no guarantee that a program won't do something after xx number…
