Not a secret. It's for an automated highway system someone is going to try to sell to congress. The Jungle is doing well, still trying to tweek it out though.

That will not work. INTERLNK requires one of the machines to run INTERSVR. INTERSVR does not allow you to do anything else.

I have 3D Studio's bar-code tatooed on my upper right arm. 3" x 2". Not my Social Serial Number, but the animation/modeling/rendering software I personally think is THE Best (All things considered). I've been a PC Repairman since XT's, and when 3DS 2.0 came out, I discovered what I wanted…

Let me just assure you that it works. I'm sure you understand. Depending on which unit you buy, the RAM is distributed differently.

Actually, we went in a different direction, though I wouldn't say completely. We don't modify any existing code or anything like that. We include some custom software tools, though. The Render Garden uses some proprietary hardware to function. We ruined alot of good CPU's :-{ to bring it online. It's…

Personally, I don't see why not. If the engine is in C++, then port it to Visual C++. There, go through the code and make it a native windoze program. NT should handle the rest if I'm not mistaken. There be major differences, but the core of the code should…

It probably is the 10baseT. Although it is still technically ethernet, it can handle larger files @ higher speeds. Lantastic is a good solution, don't get me wrong. I just feel that a WFW/NTAS solution is superior. It may cost more, but it's worth it. On our network, we have…

Here is my recomendation. Windows for Workgroups. Period. Hands down. It's the best peer-to-peer solution for the network renderer. Some people say that 3DS runs slower under windows. Maybe. But I run it under WFW, using it's 32bit disk/file access and see up to a 10% jump in performance. I'm still…

Yes, if you don't BetaCam quality or higher, Right? It's my understanding the PAR is fine for VHS quality, but struggles with something near D1. Is this true? We are looking at the MAX and I think we're about to go that way. Currently, we use a sony BetaCam-SP deck,…

I didn't get the orig. message. this is what I do. select vertex all weld vertex [selected] then i go and delete the offending segments. Kind of tedious, but it works. By the way, this will not build new segments.
Good question. Make sure pharlap.386 is the first thing in the [386enh] section. Also, tweek out the pif file. play with it's video memory functions ect. Although I hate to say this, maybe if you ran windows in a different video mode? I've found it help sometimes.
