Yeah I know, but in LW you kinda slip & slide keyframes. Imagine you discreetly enter in the begin & end frames. The scene panel in LW should be developed more so that you can slide Keyframes Back & forth. Arthur Argote Digital FX Artist, Tape House Editorial/Digital, NY
Hey Trevor, Hopes this helps, but I've used Imagine 3.0 on the Amiga & Lightwave 3.5 on the Amiga. Imagine always had a modular approach to Modeling. There is alot of control over geometry in the detail editor. As opposed to layers in LW, Imagine uses seperate axis for each…
Hey! I gpt TV Paint 2.0 from Creative Computers back in Feb. Suposedly, Realsoft will be offering TV Paint 3.0 as a deal w/ Real 3D 3.0. My last account of Tv paint though was that it was made by Activa in Holland or something. The program's great, I use…
Just as a footnote to this thread and in general, I think people should consider something. I work on a Quantel Paintbox at my job. This is a professional paint system that programs like Alpha Paint & Toaster Paint are based upon. This technology is hardware dedicated, so the system…

If your lucky, the burgler will return the Amiga & steal your PC ;D CyberCruising at ya from Brooklyn, NY on Autopilot, —Archie
I used to work for a dealer here in NY. EGS worked in screen promotion on 3000's & 4000's. Accelerated A2000 were always weird. I've got Cybergraphics, but I need 3.1. I saw the program to run both EGS & Cybergraphics. But the fact remains that it may still not…
Thanks John, I may get WB 3.1 since I hear everyone praising it, & since it may solve my EGS screen promotion problem. Incidently, the TVPaint Update your talking about is for TV Paint jr. I don't have a problem saving images, just that the tablet support is dated &…
Hey Joachim from Germany! You mentioned your Picasso, but do you have an A2000 running WB 3.1? CyberCruising at ya from Brooklyn, NY on Autopilot, —Archie

Re: EGS. Ok. I wanna know the real story if anyone has it. I've got EGS 7.1 running on a GVP spectrum board. Its in an A2000 rev 4.4 board w/ a Zeus '040, Emplant, toaster, WB 2.1, 16 mb of ram. TV Paint runs kinda funky, and the emplant…
re: PBS show on VR featuring Amiga's I saw something similar on the Discovery channel (I think Beyond 2000 or Next Step ). It seem like it was British. When they featured the VR system, they should these kids writing the software. The woman mentioned w/ her british accent that…

Trent wuz happenin' Autopilot just crashed a second time here while I was just typing to you. Sheesh! Thanks for your EGS Feedback. I guess I'll make way some how. I've heard alot about Alpha Paint, & I even Emailed the author to ask if he were thinking of writing…
Hey Rusty! I also just recently got TV Paint v 2.01 & I use an A2000 Zues '040 w/ 16 mb of ram, 2.1 WB & EGS 7.1. I don't have a problem at all w/ the startup of the program. Does the EGS board work OK otherwise? Check all…

re: Sony's System "G"… We demoed it here at Tape House Digital, NY a couple of years ago. From what I remember, it did the realtime mapping w/ lightsources & shadows. It was pretty flexable for a realtime system. There wasn't a modeler so to say, but supposedly there were…

re: A2000's being indestructable… I'll say! Mine is 7 yrs running almost non-stop w/ a hefty load. Had to replace the power supply to a 300 watter. Just recently I walked into my room to find my A2000 on the floor w/ a dent in it & my monitor smashed.…

Great to see that you stepped in to reply. I was wondering how bad things were if you guys are having an up hill battle trying to negotiate the time needed to further develop the Amiga version. I use an EGS system w/ WB 2.1 & I've had no success…

CD32 has the AGA chip set, so in respect to that, CDTV is as compatable as an A500 I guess. CyberCruising at ya from Brooklyn, NY on Autopilot, —Archie
Hank!!!!! You crazy dog! You've been using the 24 bit display this whole time! Thats your reason! There is no way around the slowdown since it has to do w/ the board's limitations and the pixel adjustment. It was explained to me that alot f the RTG-wanna-be's are superVGA chips…
re: "I have more Amigas in my house than there are in the town I live in" I know it wasn't meant to be funny….but I can't stop laughing. CyberCruising at ya from Brooklyn, NY on Autopilot, —Archie
Good luck! Is the Emplant running a 24 bit or 8 bit display? The 8 bit will be much faster, epecially if you use the QV (quick Video), but games may act funny.
Well John, I'd figure you'd say…."crash? Not our software, He He" ;D CyberCruising at ya from Brooklyn, NY on Autopilot, —Archie
John, I've followed your company's history since '88 when I first got my Amiga. Ironically enough, I've always created alot of my own models in Imagine, only using pixel 3D for crude conversions to LW when the Toaster came out. I do most of my modelling (3D in general) in…
Jim, Holiday Greetings! Being a LW & Toaster user, its great to see your presence here. Great job on producing a polished mag. I missed the Toaster Expo but I hope to catch up on the upcomming evets. Take care! Arthur Argote Digital Compositor, Tape House Editorial/Digital, NY
Note that they never really admitted the problem. Should you feel that you need a replacement……… Real nice guys… CyberCruising at ya from Brooklyn, NY on Autopilot, —Archie
Michael, In regards to the Pixellization on the FX, thats a toaster problem, not flyer. The Toaster cost/performance ratio is due to the limitations in its DVE engine. Alladin on the PC has much nicer DVE, but at a price! The solution may be programs like Hollywood FX as advertised…
re: seeing is not believing for some…… Not even that, its just the need for some people to follow the "pack". Not only are they opinionated, but their opinions change with each group they're with. When you get them alone, you can almost have a normal conversation w/ them……. I'll…

Hey Jerry, Your point regarding the Amiga's survival in the iche market is well taken. Its done so for the past couple of years, but it irritates me the the machine I'm typing on now on autopilot WHILE its DLing mac files on my Term program for the emplant may…
Hank. RE: slow photoshop on emplant Hey there! Your system is very similar to mine. I'm running a Zues '040 w/ 16 mb of ram. I too also have about 11 megs allocated to the emplant. What you are experienceing is probably the virtual mem kicking in. Click on the…
re: seeing an Amiga os on TV… Very funny, actually here in stanten island, I've seen it on a couple of cable channels. You know, that famous Guru meditation screen. Judging from how slow it was blinking, I'd say they were running a 500 or something. the closest thing to…
Trent! whats up! I've read your thread about having an A2000 w/ and EGS in it. I have the same w/ a Zeus '040 and WB 2.1. I want to know if 3.1 relieved some of the problems associated w/ egs and wb. Whenever I switch the wb over to…
